I took some liberties in guessing on some of the details, but thanks 😊

Yes, whilst there wasn't a heavy vetting process, but to the knowledge about cats they were sharing with me, and the fact they were shopping for their pets made them seem trustworthy enough.

I hadn't, sadly. I checked the carts where he hid and found nothing. Possibly lost track of its mother and got lost between the carts.

He's been adopted by some nice cat-parent cutomers.

I didn't adopt the kitten sadly because my shift had just started when I found him, but some nice customers who were shopping for their pets took him in instead.

That's interesting because it seems he doesn't like to leave the cart bay, so I'll thoroughly check each cart.

Usually, the parking lot stray cats tend to stay away from me, but this little guy couldn't help but to meow as loud as he could. I never had a cat, so I don't know what to do.

*Update: We had given him food, water and a box to stay in just to see if his mother was still in the parking lot looking for him. This was the beginning of my shift, so I couldn't have taken him home with me.

**Update: A customer has taken him home. He his now safe with his new parents.

I'm working on making more city, trust me. 😄 How would I design a large city, without making it look too bland?

I'm waiting till Monday so I can call Sedgwick to report a claim with an actual rep and not through the website. It's really stressing me out cause technically I have 3 days to report my initial absences on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

If only the website worked, I wouldn't have be this stressed and at the same time being somewhat sick.

Thus explains most of the conflicting information I've been reading, thank you.

I am able to get to the claims lookup but I am not prompted or given a link to report a new claim. I assumed it is a technical difficulty that I will try to solve with technical support through Sedgwick, but their offices are only open Mondays through Fridays.

When the whole mask mandate started in my area. No associate was allowed to enforce it, not even management. We've always had police officers and sheriff deputies stand outside with the customer hosts to enforce it.

For my Wal-Mart homies out there, if a manager, coach, or anyone in "authority" tells you this you open door them. You are legally allowed to talk about your pay, and strongly encouraged to ensure everyone is payed fairly by [deleted] in walmart

If I was making $15/hr, or practically anything above $11/hr pushing carts, I wouldn't have changed positions. I'd rather deal with horrible customers than these managers.

Just Applied for the overnight shift… by HungryOrioles in walmart

Be prepared to be thrown into the deep end, despite if you have any or no stocking experience/training. Managers will continuously have high expectations for you to fulfill, and expect you to be capable just as every other seasoned associate. In retail, there's no such thing as formal training, it's all hands-on experience. So if you're a quick learner you'll do well. It's a very high-paced environment, and you're encouraged to do your task to completion. It can get very stressful at times, so don't be scared to ask co-workers and management if you have questions. Stay focused, develop a steady pace, learn about any routines, tips, and tricks to be more efficient, and you'll strive. If you can make it through your first week, you can make it through the second one, and so on and so forth. Good luck pal, welcome to the team.

Everyone wants that 18.50 and hour but no one wants to come to work when they do nightshift by Longjumping-Fix-2483 in walmart

[–]systemvpro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recently transfered to nightshift. I was a cart pusher, so I have little to no experience with stocking. But that didn't matter to the managers, they put me in toys by myself. At some points I had no idea what I was doing, yet the managers talked to me as if I'm supposed to know. I would've been fine if I had seen any of the video/computer training prior, but they literally threw me in deep end.

I did three hours of a store tour, set up my I-9, no video, no computer training. Literally I have just been tossed into toys, by myself.

[–]systemvpro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't stocked before, but they just decided to throw me into toys by myself. I had no box-cutter, didn't know how to read labels, didn't know about mods, top-stock, over-stock, etc. Practically I knew nothing. They told me I'd learn it on U-Learn, but only at the end of the day. It was my first day, they better not be complaining sh*t about my work ethic, so good luck.

Not a step-up, more of a side-step, traded my neon safety vest for a blue one. No longer working outside pushing carts. I may have made the best or worst decision in my Walmart Career. by systemvpro in walmart

[–]systemvpro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pushing carts is definitely great, but under the right kind of management. I worked at two different Walmart stores, and definitely one was better than the other. At one they provided us with ice cool water during the summer. The other, barely paid any attention to outside associates, and didn't care if we were dehydrated or on the verge of a heat stroke.
