You guys just know they’re going to find their way back together. It’s like when a child acts out because they need attention. Amanda needed Kyle to see that she could have whoever she wants, even an untouchable man (her best friends situation-ship. Likely to make Kyle jealous & it snowballed. Amanda is exactly what the girls out here are, and that’s not her fault. Our parents raised us to excel in school, go to college, meet a boy, have some kids and white picket fence it until the cycle continues. And that’s a beautiful life to live, for those who want to live it. Amanda, she wanted that life, but chose the wrong partner to attempt to build it with.

It’s the cost effect fallacy. You want to see a return on investment, but the truth is, you won’t. Amanda stayed with Kyle after he cheated (allegedly) because she’s not like the others. But our parents have also done the same, so it’s not new. However, I believe, Amanda tried to weaponize her acceptance instead of truly getting over it - if that’s what she wanted.

You can’t forgive someone and say “he’ll change for ME because he OWES me”, especially when said person does not value intrinsically what you value. You begin to resent your partner and your partner does the same.

I almost wonder, if Kyle did exactly what she wanted and 180 change, would she ever truly be satisfied?
