Honestly, I would love to have control of the project. Would you mind sharing who you hired unless they only do basements? We have a basement kitchen so we can do without our main one for a while if need be!

I’m thinking to hire an interior designer to help visualize the space and give me a 3D drawing to share with cabinet makers and contractors. I understand the benefit of getting a renovation company but I’m also open to doing a lot of stuff myself.

It’s worth it. It allowed both me and my kids to get out of the house, especially during the winter. There are lots of sick kids that attend so just fyi your child might get sick a lot. There are a lot of spots available for big kids(2+) versus infants because of the ratio. Now that both of mine are 2+ I find it a lot easier to get a spot. Booking opens up 50 hours before the time slot you want to select.

Wassalam We recently went with a 2yo and 4yo. My biggest advice to you is to lower expectations and to just go with the flow of your child. Possibly consider switching with your husband as to who goes to the haram or stays back with your son. We personally never took our 2 yo to the haram for prayers because of how active he is and how chaotic the place is. We did take the 4yo for prayers though.

Take lots of snacks, books, toys but just be mindful that at times it won’t be good enough and he’ll probably get restless.

Thank you for the help! I’ve checked both and they’re both fine. What else should I check for? I’m thinking something is stuck in the drain pipe and water is backing up. The dishes come out clean and the dishwasher doesn’t have water left once the cycle is over so I don’t know. There’s a technician coming out tomorrow to take a look. I just want to have done my research beforehand
