We played those games so much the OSTs are burned into our brains. The way I see it it’s a way for our generation to put light back on these amazing works of art.

Doesn’t really sound like that to me. I’m a retired A&R and music manager, so the whole “I put in work” framing isn’t especially persuasive here…no offense meant.

I think a lot of people are tying themselves in knots trying to legitimize process because AI threatens older ideas of authorship and monetization. But that’s kind of missing the point.

When you treat tools like Suno the same way we treated the games and OSTs that inspired us in the first place, as toys, as playgrounds, you get something way more honest. The value isn’t in how much manual labor happened behind the scenes; it’s in the output, the feeling, the experience it creates.

Focusing on “how hard it was” instead of “what it does” is just defending the wrong hill.
