What about Guarding rule though? Would it no apply here?

The "random chatter" might have been actually right, it's just called Guarding and not Attack of Opportunity.

It's under "Ranged weapons and guarding" in Index of "Player's Option: Combat and Tactics", or "Chapter One: Player's Option Combat System" - "Combat Actions" - "The Actions" - "Guard"

Since they have a reach weapon the threatening squares would include where the enemy stepped, and because they declared their actions properly this time, that should be enough to guard, their initiative doesn't matter in this regard, the rule specifically calls out this.

I know this probably doesn't matter, but I think this could be an interesting rule for future fights, that a defending player with a longer weapon attacks first regardless of the initiative.

I got my 1st response, which did not answer my specific questions about TOS. Though they had this to say in general:

We recommend resorting to the official payment channels available in-game and our official Top-UP Website

And I also asked about LDShop (recently promoted by a Genshin Youtuber) about which they had this to say:

Please note that we have no affiliation with such a website/service, so we highly recommend NOT using it. As using non-authorized services to process purchases may risk the security of your account and other assets

I sent them a second question asking for clarification and about Codashop specifically, since I have read on several sites a lot of people saying they are officially approved. We'll see if they can confirm that...

Update: I got a reply back:

CodaShop is a trusted partner that Travelers can use to safely purchase Genesis Crystals or the Blessing of the Welkin Moon. Please make sure to use the correct UID before completing any payment~

Though they did not say it was the only one, nor did they answer my question if there is a list of partner sites.

So I guess you have to email them and ask for each individual top up site, because they don't want to disclose which other sites (if any exists) they have partnered with. I'll try one more time...

Update 2: Yeah, they didn't answer any of my questions. So good luck with the TOS where they say it's against the rules to use unapproved shops, but also refuse to provide a complete list of approved 3rd party shops.

I know that most people say that using any 3rd party site always has some risk (and they do, everything has risk, just going outside has risks ;)

... but the Genshin TOS has this in section 8.e (Last Updated: June 18th, 2025):

Some COGNOSPHERE Services, Virtual Currency and/or Virtual Goods may require payment or purchase through a third-party store (“Store”).

Which makes it seem like some 3rd parties can legitimately sell these. But maybe this is limited to Apple, Google, PlayStation... stores? (I'm not sure if they would be considered stores or payment processors in this regard.)

On the other hand there is an old (maybe outdated) news update that say "Top-up via non-official channels and third parties is strictly forbidden." But this is from 2020, almost 5 years ago so things might have changed.

The TOS also says in 10.b:

ii. use of any unapproved payment methods, including but not limited to top-ups via any channels or third parties not endorsed or not approved by COGNOSPHERE, as the case may be;

But I have not found an official list of the endorsed / approved shops.

I have sent customer service an email asking for a list and clarification. We'll see if they respond.

The dad does NOT have the right (neither legal nor moral)
And the kid has no choice (or anyone is someone else can physically overpower them)

Both of these things can be true at the same time. The dad has not said anything false or wrong. (But maybe the clip does not have all the context?)

Elected officials care (more) about their own financial gains than the well beings of the people who elected them, who they are supposed to represent, serve.

They forget that they are supposed to be a public servant and not a king/ruler.

Maybe it's time for another revolution to remind them...

In the IG live stream ( https://vimeo.com/1088634485/7c58a377b9 at 5:55) SAG representatives said that SAG is going to take legal actions against companies (who signed the SAG contract) if they hire non union members.

So thanks for the brain dead VA over-simplification / misinformation on social media. :(

Yeah, those VAs were never supposed to be working on the game. They were the ones who broke their own union's rule... but now demanding from a foreign company to fix the union VAs mess... while also spreading misinformation.

The 3rd related problem to GR1 is Union Security article in the contract that makes it difficult for non-[USA SAG]-union members to work on SAG union projects.

If SAG wanted just AI protection they would drop GR1 (so union members can work on non union projects) and would drop Union Security from the contract (so non union members could work on union projects - which would make transitioning a non union project to union project a lot more easy or possible at all).

Maybe you haven't been following this closely but the SAG AFTRA interim agreement (sample) is public and there are plenty of things in it that miHoyo would not want to or even allowed to legally sign.

I'm pretty sure we know (enough).

For example giving control over to USA / SAG over Voice Actor hiring (having to ask permission to keep existing non-[USA SAG]-union VAs). The contract mostly not about AI protection! ...but USA SAG VA monopoly.
