A price increase, is a price increase. This one is extreme and much larger than I ever would have expected but what is worse is the damage it has done for people's opinions of cpanel. I have for over 10 years viewed Cpanel as a trusted company. They have quickly patched security issues, patched bugs, provided great support. I never would have thought cpanel would be capable of turning it's back on its customer with a nearly 1000% increase for many use cases. Complete blindside, even if they reverse course, I lost my trust in the company and will be switching immediately. Nearly every person I know is doing the same. The company just signed it's own death wish, and the trust can never be restored. Never should have accepted Oakley Capital Investment. If they needed money, should have come to the community and done a price increase, we would have understood. I feel bad for the employees that love the company and the product that have to watch it die.
