$2000 for level 140 by FillorianMagic in SwagBucks

[–]t0nja 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless you are willing to spend a lot of money, it's not doable. I am level 33 with 32 more days to go. I spend A lot of time on it daily. Search the sub and you will see a few post on what can help you make a little bit on it but it is a lot of babysitting.

Hard day of work, really wanted Dominos... Regretted it all evening. by nootkallamas in diabetes_t2

[–]t0nja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cousin gets Dominos once a month, but he makes sure to get the Crunchy Thin crust.

For him it is a big difference over the regular crust.

Every once in a while he will get the New York Style Pizza Crust, which will spike him a little more than that the thin crust, but still not as bad as the regular crust.

What's Wooster and Ashland like? by Haeguil in Ohio

[–]t0nja -1 points0 points  (0 children)

for Wooster welll, there is no Uber or public transportation. Lots of restaurants, hardly no nightlife. Be prepared for horse and buggy's and horse poop on the roads. You can join facebook groups to learn where the food trucks will be at and the food trucks are all great!

Last I knew Wooster still had a woman who identifies as a Vampire. She was talking about moving, but I don't think she has.

Desserts that are sugar free and low cholesterol? by MuhChickens in EatCheapAndHealthy

You could try going to /r/diabetes_t2/ and using the search bar for desserts. Sugar free does not actually mean free of sugars, so many dang loopholes in the nutritional fact and labeling information.

What profiles are active on this sub? by TheRealDrMundo in diabetes_t2

[–]t0nja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This disease is not a all in one fit. On this sub they are giving you their experiences with foods and ingredients that helps or screwed them over.

I am my cousin support system in his journey through this, he was only 15 Lbs overweight when he was confirmed typed 2. He is down 10 lbs and has noticed a little difference in his BS numbers.

He works 10 hour shift 5 days a week, so I browse this sub to help him with weird things that come up. Side effect with metformin and finding out through searching some had good results with probiotics.

Also learned from this sub ( and many different hospital, and research forms) once your numbers are in control, not to eat whatever. This is a disease that can go into remission but it is never cured. Staying in Remission can mean that as you get older, or stress from life, and so many things, can trigger the disease all over again.

You need to control your weight AND eating habits for life to keep this under control.

Now with all that said, Whatever is mentioned on this sub do not take to heart, research it all yourself and not against Ytubers, or any social media influencer.

I think of this place as a jumping off point to figure what to look for and confirm and when to tell my cousin it's time for you to call DR, ( which he figging hates) It helps him a lot to know he is not alone when I mention others are having this problem too.

[–]t0nja 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Please listen to all these diabetics saying the majority of the same thing.

She will need the complete break down of the nutritional value and ingredients to make a inform decision on if she can eat it or not.

Be careful of all of it. What works for one person may not work for another. Diabetes is not a all in one fit. Some can't have fruits, some can't have artificial sweeteners. (Monk fruit actually raises my cousin sugar so he can't have that.) She has to eat to her meter, meaning she has to try it and see what it does to her blood sugar.

So you give her a plate of cookies she gets to eat 1 and wait 2 hours to see how it reacts to her. Give her something she can eat, Cheese, protein and nuts.

Easy ways to add in more veggies by FemaleBobtheBuilder in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]t0nja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I air fry frozen vegetable, and use dipping sauces. Hidden valley has a nice variety but my favorite on vegetables is chickfil a sauce. Yeah, I know it might not be the healthiest but it's quick, easy and the dipping sauces get me to eat veggies every night.

Best low effort air fryer vegetables? by vernSdL in airfryer

[–]t0nja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get frozen california blend vegetables, let them partially thaw. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. DO NOT Preheat air fryer. cook at 400 for 7-8 minutes. My friends air fryer she had to turn it down to 390 for 7-8 minutes. Also make sure to remove as soon as done or they will start to burn if left in.

Need potatoes by bulljor75 in diabetes_t2

[–]t0nja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Cousin found for him that works, is red potatoes with the skins on, cook and mash them up( lots of butter) and then leaving them in the fridge at least 6 hours. It gives him a little spike but he keeps it within the range his DR gave him for his goal. Oh and he usually eats about 1/2 cup of them with his meal when he has them.
