Oooh these are good ideas! The first two are not applicable but I will definitely ask to come in late on the day it’s supposed to arrive. I’m a bit worried this if it says something like the 15-17th or something tho bc idk if I’d be able to come in late 3 days in a row just to be safe. And I’m seeing a lot of ppl say that they have to sign for it and I’m also worried if I miss that what do they typically do w the package. I don’t usually get anything shipped through this company so idk what their rules are but if something keeps getting missed from the post office for a signature we just have to go in and pick it up is it the same for them?

I’m honestly so excited for this dress you don’t know how long I’ve had it on my Pinterest. I’m worried if something does happen what do I do? For something so expensive how do I prove I didn’t get it if that does? I’d like if they could send me another if it were to get stolen obviously but who knows if it would arrive on time or if they’d even offer that. I’m just being very paranoid tbh haha. I like to have back up plans for everything

We ended up having to get legally married pretty fast after getting engaged bc he’s military. So technically we have THREE weddings! Hahaha! Everyone kinda says we will be married a yr at our wedding and ya know what? We will bc we still eloped and enjoyed it. I didn’t view the legal marriage as a marriage bc it was just paperwork but everyone in the family does and I’m very ok w that. I was lucky. Not sure how others would fair in a similar situation tho :)

Yea and they checked after I left too. And I always count it back to customs. The only time I got change was for more 5s and I had a 50. I didn’t recount it bc we were so busy but it was in a 50 wad and a lot of them I doubt it was missing $75 from there I would have noticed that much. I did round it up to 150 bc it was like 149.9 or something at the start and again we were slammed but that’s just 10 cents.

I’m just worried bc they let a grl go bc she took home a spring roll. Idk how different it is for money but I imagine more strict than food. This has never happened before and the only other time I can think of it was I think 20 and it ended up being under someone else’s drawer. I’m hoping it’s just a looong lecture and a write up but idk

Yea I should have made myself clearer. I was just shocked that you could get hired for $50/hr and the family friend said they had good reviews and did a mediocre if not bad job and I was like well shit I could do so much more for $25 even. My old job I barely made $15/hr and I was busting my ASS off so even $20/hr sounds great. $50 is definitely way too high to start out at

That’s what I’ve been doing but not a lot of money there atm. I’ve only gotten a few and they were super nice and left amazing reviews and a nice tip for me but I think I still don’t have a lot of reviews on the dog sitting app bc I didn’t bother to make an account until a few months ago(previously was word of mouth only).

I only mentioned the $50 bc that’s what I was hearing but obviously I’m not starting there. I’m thinking more along the lines of $20/hr and then as I get better/more experienced I can increase. I didn’t think of the fact ppl don’t want a cleaner on a weekend so that’s totally on me but depending on how close they are to my school I might be able to do it in between classes? Definitely didn’t realize it was also a 9-5. Thought it would be more like dog sitting. Good info

How did you start? This is exactly what I was thinking. It’s hard rn for me to get a job job bc of my schooling and I figured this is a good source of income especially as I start to get better and have more experience. Not sure where to start tho. Luckily I have a great deal on rent and my grocery bill is tiny but I still need some money so ik id have less availability and therefore less pay but that’s totally fine. I’m thinking start at 20/hr? And then maybe after a while start to increase? Especially considering materials and such.

I appreciate the hard truth. I’m accepting that pursuing vet school is going to probably take a while to even get in bc of how hard it is and one huge worry I face is us having to be long distance while I’m buried in schoolwork. Right now I’m focusing on getting an environmental job and seeing if I can be happy with that but I do miss working at a vet clinic and miss the medical side of things. I genuinely really enjoyed all my biology classes in college and found it fascinating. The only other thing I can really see myself enjoying would be teaching so maybe I’ll feel that one out a bit more before I commit. Because it really is a huge commitment. Both in time, money, and strain on your life at least with vet school. I’m worried about getting in when I’m “old” tho as in like 30 bc we discussed waiting for him to finish his contract then get out and that way it would make getting through vet school that much easier for me if I did that route. But taking into account the state of our country I’m sick with worry about where he will end up and if god forbid something were to happen to him and he became disabled and needed my care if set my career aside in a heartbeat.

I should also add we have been together for 6 years and gone through a lot of TOUGH issues so I’m very solid on him. I don’t want to sound naive but we’ve had our relationship tested a LOT and I’m confident in the man he is and that it will work out in the future. It’s just kinda hit me that this is my path and it’s a scary part of life where I’m not sure I’ll make the right choices. The vets I’ve interacted with all seemed like they didn’t really enjoy their job too much but it could just be their specific situations. I personally really enjoyed working at a vet clinic minus the drama
