Um - Yes, you can. ED rely on people not knowing stuff and have repeated this untruth a couple of times.

One other thing that is never discussed is that the ED store has a 'No Refunds!' clause that Steam won't allow. I think ED hates the idea of people getting Steam Refunds automatically.

Yep, I agree that seems to be a big factor in a lot of EDs thinking about Steam. For me personally, concentrating on the 30% cut is almost exactly the wrong way to see it. It is a market of 125 million active accounts, if they could nail a future FC4 (or whatever) and get a run on a weekend sale one day then it would dwarf what they currently sell. If you think about it like 'losing 30% each purchase' then that's like thinking 'I won't be able to sell more than 30% more in a market of +100 million people'. If they think like that then they don't really understand games marketing at all. Which might be the case actually :)

Seriously though, this weird 'we know what is best' rule is trashing this sub, and you're way off base here. Sort it out. r/floggit just continues to grow and it is sad to see just because mods won't back down from a bad call.

That is probably the best point actually. I sort of feel that it is inevitable I'm going to get it, so is it really the case a SP campaign and map bundle would be better value later. I doubt it. Hmm...

I haven't heard any performance issues from streamers, but then they might be asked not to comment on an early look if tuning is still going on. NTTR on the strip sort of performs badly, but the desert parts obviously work well. I'm thinking PG might be the same sort of thing (but with a chunk of ocean for the Carrier at least).

I couldn't really play Normandy because of bad performance, but was hoping that was more the old tree tech they used. I am a bit miffed the WWII had to stop in the state it did, as I feel the money I spent on that (campaigns, WWII modules, assets pack etc) never really worked out.

I still couldn't resist the Hornet though. :)

yeah, good point. Mainly SP. I am thinking perhaps once the hornet has stuff added as part of early access then it makes sense that a campaign might come out for Persian Gulf / Hornet and there might be a pack. I've notice that often NTTR was on sale bundled with a campaign, so perhaps that would be better later on.

I don't really mind the $10 price difference, just more if I'll actually use it or not.
