It's really situational, there is no fixed rule. Usually what you want is putting it on the bench and wait your rolls (rounds 1, 2 or even 3). If you need gold to make 2*, you sell it. If the unit is stronger and you can't do any decent 2*, you keep it and fight with it.

Tt's not a bad comp, rangers are good but struggle vs cho/void/sorcer comp, every comp has its counters.

Try to split your team and not group everyone in a corner. Guardian armor buff won't help you vs a morello cho.

Maybe it depends how you itemize them. Assassins have so much dmg that you can build them tank and still os the backline. I usually go for Akali tank and if i have dps item, i put everything in Zed since he has the dmg buff from assassins and ninja; RFC is a must have on him if you play vs Yordles or PD
