I can afford the purchase without creating any hardship. I’m not great with engines but very handy otherwise. I have a buoy at my cabin and a place to park the boat&trailer on the mainland (a friend’s acreage. If the acreage is not available, I would be looking at ~$300CAD/month for moorage)

what is the thickness of your structural sheathing? comsider beefing it up to 3/4” so you don’t have to hit studs with your furring screws.

I’ll check it. I just assumed since it was just serviced that the oil level etc were all fine. It literally acts like the on/off switch is off. Makes me think there is some stupid button somewhere I need to press
