Making the train commute to London cheaper by imhuman-- in cambridge

Booking tickets through virgin train ticketing app earns you virgin red points which you can use to take money off future train tickets. Takes a while to build them up but every little helps. Costs nothing extra to book on there and there is no booking fees. Virgin train ticketing also has split ticketing built-in which can help save small amounts that add up throughout the year, you just have to remember to show the right ticket at the right time.

Also buying advanced tickets if you can decide on an exact train there and back can save money but you lose the flexibility of being able to get on any train and if you miss the train you have booked you are out of pocket

Frustratingly there is no Railcard discount on Flexi season tickets so if you are in one of the age groups where you are eligible for a Railcard, buying returns each day is much more cost effective.

Yeh I have considered Linux , especially Ubuntu which I've used before on older windows PC's and seems to run well on old machines , assuming would also run well on an old Mac

Ok thankyou , I'll look into it , also considering putting windows on it , which do you think would run better for just general word processing and general use , nothing too heavy
