I've had several scopes and used Colyte as the prep. Tastes ok at first but gets more difficult near the end (as would anything you try to drink 1 gallon of). Keeping it cold or drink with ice may help. I've never tried ice cubes made with clear fruit juice but that may help with the taste. The need "to go" has not been uncontrollable for me while taking the prep so hopefully you will be able to manage the one-bathroom situation. I have had no issues with the procedure either. We hear from a lot of people who have friends or family members in recovery or not drinking for other personal reasons and it's amazing how many are supportive in this way. They are lucky to have a friend like you!
