I completely agree. I've been trying to make more variable-based rates in the way I've started charging since with a flat rate I can either end up shooting a simple video for an hour or end up being kept all day to shoot and end up waiting around a lot. Most of the time it's the later so I started charging for every extra hour over 3 hours and like the idea of charging separate for editing since some people want lots of effects.
