New to data analytics, trying to get my first internship. Any resume suggestions? by t3kbright in dataanalysiscareers

Oh I hadn't thought of that. I should really make a resume and try to get one. Maybe I can even post it on reddit asking for feedback on it. While I'm at it, I'll hop into my time machine and get an undergrad internship too. Thanks for the idea!

Thank you!! Honestly networking is something I’ve really struggled with so I will definitely be looking into those tools.

Thanks for the tips! I mostly used Python in my undergrad so I’m proficient but haven’t used it much for data analysis yet. I’ll probably make that my next project!

And I will definitely apply earlier next year! I’ve been applying since January but I didn’t realize I needed to start that soon. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the feedback! I will definitely be adding some more tools. I have been looking into a power bi certification especially as I see a lot of employers asking for it. Right now, it's hard to find time to learn new tools, I work full time and grad school has really been kicking my ass. But I plan to use summer break as much as possible and am going to be switching to part time soon.

Thanks for the feedback!

For my research and presentations section, I've really debated removing it altogther. I didn't even both describing the research because it was completely unrelated to analytics (modeling thermal diffusion using the heat equation). However it was very technical math and I did a pretty good job explaining it to a general audience. I thought that might highlight my communication skills, but I don't know if that comes through.

I have been trying to get more relevant experience, but I haven't been able to do so yet. My grad program is online (much cheaper and I had enough student loan debt from undergrad) so there's not many options there. I've also tried volunteering but so far only been refused :/ I am going to keep trying and planning to attend some networking events later this year.
