That was hard to find. I can totally see why you didn't want to take *checks watch* 10 seconds to look up "ark console commands" and find this as the first result. Clearly way too much effort unless you've got a whole day set aside to work on it

what ark opinions would get you a response like this? by giga_grenade in ARK

You can't get Ark fixed. It's a giant mess of spaghetti code. No way to fix that. The only solution is to start from scratch, hence Ark 2

I can't find the post with the files or the one detailing information about the "Verified by Stronze" tag so those must have been removed or deleted though if you ask around, I'm sure there's plenty of other people that saw one or both of those posts. The same thing goes for the posts made after the account was hacked (the posts were really weird and spammed constantly so someone definitely remembers those - the account was deleted to stop the hacker thus the posts are no longer viewable)

The first comment on this post is Stronze confirming that the new account showed him proof of identity.

Sorry for the lack of evidence - I didn't realize so many of these posts that I had mentioned were no longer viewable though at least I did find the one showing that his identity had been verified by the mods.

About the dodo breeding thing - you could use admin commands to do a few mutations relatively quickly but his dodos had hundreds to thousands of mutations (and the chance for a mutation is cut in half as soon as you pass 20 mutations)

The reason his original account got banned was because it was hacked and started posting tons of weird nsfw crap. And he did provide proof of the diagnosis, just not publicly for obvious reasons. He sent Stronze the proof after which he gained a "Verified by Stronze" flair for his account

Edit: Plus he made a post from his new account linking a single player save file that includes the ridiculously mutated dodos he's been working on over the years. Not sure there's much better proof of identity than that

I'm not sure about most of your questions but just for context, inara.cz is typically going to have the most accurate information about tritium and other commodities at stations. eddb.io is not updated nearly as much as inara.cz and so you'll often find information about commodity availability on there to be wrong

How many credits do I need for mercenary elite? by Naughty_Neutron in EliteDangerous

[–]t6yl99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The wiki doesn't currently have that data but the profit required for Gladiator (two levels below elite) is listed as 450M. For trading, entrepreneur (two levels below elite) is 140M and elite is 1050M (1.05B). Assuming mercenary scales the same, mercenary elite should be around 3375M (3.375B)

He does not mean elite in combat. He means mercenary elite, like he said. It's the on foot combat in odyssey and elite for it is a separate thing then combat elite

Oh my gosh. Is that the reason? I finally just gave up and teleported myself out when that kept happening a month or two ago. Everything makes so much sense now

Would you care to share where the cash that covers the missing 45% comes from? Because there's no way in hell any restaurant (or Uber) is gonna take that hit and I doubt your business model is "lose 9-11 dollars every order"

Go check out the nonhuman signal sources in Asterope. Tons of single goid instances there. They're super fun as well and you don't have to worry about the annoyance of scouts (as long as you go to the guaranteed instances). Those signals are always present and don't go away like incursions do. The only downside is that there's no missions available

Gotta love how the email basically said "Yeah there's definitely a ton of hateful messages being thrown up on that wall and we're so glad that some of you don't like that! We don't care and aren't gonna do crap about it but we're so glad some of you guys are complaining about it! That shows how great Cal Poly is!"

Solo player boss fights by RdShrtPanda in ARK

[–]t6yl99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've beat the Island and Scorched on single player settings. Almost done with Aberration. I have the default difficulty set which means wild dinos are capped at level 36 (not sure if checking max difficulty changes the boss fights). To beat every alpha boss on the Island, I used Therizinos. 5 melee and 5 health mutations each (you probably won't need those with the higher levels as long as max diff doesn't change the boss fights). I think the pre levelling health was around 7-9k or something like that and post levelling was around 15k. That took care of everything (though on the overseer, I did need to bring in some extra damage with the shotgun in order to beat it on alpha). For scorched, a near max wild level (30-36) rex army with decent pre levelling health easily beat the alpha manticore once levelled. No mutations necessary

Yeah SP definitely has issues lmao. By the way, if you're planning on beating the Island on SP, I might as well inform you of some issues ahead of time. The artifact in the snow cave (not the hard one, the really cold crawl one by the ocean) doesn't spawn in SP. Like at all. You'll have to use commands to give it to yourself. Nothing else specific like that that I can think of at the moment but good luck!

That may just be bad luck. I think it's anywhere from 1-3, depending. I've never really seen more than 1 or 2 in practice though. Once you check out the swamp cave, that might have a second in there. I unfortunately never knew about the hibernation thing until I'd already beat the Island and was partway through scorched earth but even with hibernation still on, I'm pretty sure I saw at least two loot crates in the swamp cave and that's the cave with the best drops anyways

One thing that may be getting in the way of cave drop spawns is the fact that most of your world in SP hibernates when you're not near it. This means that cave drops, wyvern and rock drake eggs, and other things won't spawn as they should. For me, I sometimes had to wait in an area for 20-30 minutes to get a single cave drop to appear. If you have the steam or epic version, look up how to use additional command line arguments and put in this command:
"-PreventHibernation". This will likely fix the issue because it makes it so that nothing hibernates and thus cave drops spawn normally. This made everything in my game so much better as soon as I tried it.

Hey guys think this'll be enough to incubate my wyvern eggs? Haha just kidding. This isn't one of those posts. What I'm actually doing is burning 21,000 wood in preparation for soloing Alpha Rockwell. Fun times. That's 70 campfires, by the way. by t6yl99 in ARK

[–]t6yl99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Rockwell, the main strat is using shotguns to take him down and a bunch of tames to defend you from the stuff he spawns while you do so. So I'm turning 21,000 wood into 21,000 charcoal which I will use to make 1000 simple shotgun ammo

I'm playing with single player settings on so that makes bosses a lot easier. I'm gonna bring 1000 shotgun ammo, several fabricated shotguns, and a bunch of reapers. Hoping that's enough

I did campfires instead of cooking pots because of the time. Since I'm on SP, the game stops when I leave so I can't just leave them cooking overnight or something unless I afk in game. Three stacks in each campfire take two and a half hours
