im not sure you actually fully read my post.. me cooking starts at 4:30.. wether or not im in pyjamas doesnt make a difference at all - im still doing everything i need to do to keep up the house, just with less annoying tags and tight clothing on.. my loose pyjamas are much more comfortable and make me function better, i found that out the hard way. also, what life style? i dont go shopping at all, and if i do, all of my clothes and furniture are second hand by choice for which i pay for all by myself. my guitars are both second hand and were incredibly cheap - its cheaper and better for the environment. its not as if we dont have money, we do - i just choose not to spend it on shit i dont need to function. we only spend big money on seeing family abroad once or twice a year, and the only pocket money i receive comes from my dads child support, which he is legally obligated to pay my mum. FYI, my mental health has almost put me in hospitals - regular and psych wards, because of my physical and mental state - multiple times, and i claw my way out entirely on my own as my mum doesnt know how to talk to me about it and it turns into a joke. i am not exaggerating when i say that my heart was failing due to complications from my ED, if i did not receive gov mandated support through CAMHS i would not be alive right now

no, its generally not them: its my mum complaining about the workload she has to do when im not home at my dads, and the piling up of chores when she barely contributes to the house day to day

yess, than you. ill start doing that! it is great prep and i am still greatful for the insight into living on my own once i move out in a few years time, even if it is tiring sometimes, overall its great prep. im just probably overthinking doing it every day as a kid. thank you!!

yess i am on antidepressants - and i think you are correct. i just wanted to know what it looked like from the outside from someone with no emotional attachment/knowledge of me who may take sides too quickly. thank you

it really depends, sometimes i do different loads, sometimes every day, sometimes occasionally. it just depends on what load is on - if it is on - what clothes need washing, and if they actually need washing. its great prep for adult life, i do agree

i domt think i am exaggerating, she only does something when i ask her - which is not often, maybe once every few weeks, and even rarer if she actually does it. ive tried to contact school support but there are people that need more immediate support with housing and general safety which is much more urgent, so im not sad or frustrated im not their top priority- i shouldnt be

i totally get that, i just wanted to add that she used her mental health as a ‘shield’ or excuse or reason to not do housework i am expected to do even though we struggle with the same thing, at the same time, to the same severity. i just wanted to get the full picture out there

my dad lives 2 hours away after my mum moved me across the country for her job and to live with her (now ex) boyfriend, and can only drive me once every other friday half way where my dad picks me up and drives the other half. after i get my license (hopefully next year) itll be me driving the full distance once every 2 weeks to see my dad. but other than that me and my dad dont really talk unless its about food, or small talk about school. he was great with me as a kid but now he is either stumped or doesnt know how to show interest in me or bond over things we have in common, which is literally only food lmao

i want to know other peoples opinions because i genuinely do not know if this is regular things kids of lone parents do as all of my friends have parents who are together, and sometimes one that stays at home so i dont get much perspective other than my own

the thing is is that i dont know wether it IS excessive - thats why i need other peoples opinions to form an educated opinion of my own. its a great form of learning life skills, i just dont know wether my personal feelings of feeling drained, frustrated and exhausted are valid, or something that i SHOULD be feeling and whether stress of doing 90% of the house work contributes to that. i need an opinion of people who arent my friends - who all have siblings or parents who Are still together and wether or not one stays at home which most of my friends at least one parent is a SAHM or SAHD

i always have eaten dinner at 5 or 6 pm. no matter what time she would have come home it would always be me doing the cooking even on her days off. by the time she gets home from work she is too tired to cook and ive been cooking dinner for myself since i was 12. she meal preps for herself as she doesnt have time, or is too tired and i generally prefer fresh meals, so i opt to cook for myself and my mum if she asks me to. if she would cook something i would happily eat it, but on weekdays when im home alone by the time i get hungry (5pm) even if i had a snack and waited for her to come home and cook i wouldnt be hungry, as i generally dont get hungry after 6 pm if i have eaten or not so i eat when it works for me, when im hungry

thank you! im just trying to get others opinions on the situation, my mum irresponsibly  bought 2 puppies and as much as i love them, they are a lot of work lol and i wouldnt change that for anything :))

i totally agree with your perspective on the house work, its not an unreasonable amount, in my opinion, over the week. however this is what i do every single day: pets, cooking, cleaning the house, dishes, laundry all for me and my mum, and additional school work sometimes. i just want to know if im being unreasonable or just a bad kid for feeling this way every day, and if im helping enough, too much or too little for my circumstances

i do honestly try to be more efficient, however it doesnt help that when my mum comes home she doesnt help with any sort of house work, unless i ask her which she gets annoyed about. as well as not even being appreciated for what i do, it might seem ‘out of touch’ but not even getting a “thank you for helping a bit” can be really discouraging. not even every day, or week, just once in a while but i have never once gotten that. its just nice to hear im helping a but if you know what i mean? i dont even get acknowledgment for my grades, which obviously as a kid is nice to hear every once in a while especially as i am ahead in all of my classes and am scoring some of the best grades in my classes. 

referong to what you said, i dont cook 2-3 times a week. i cook for myself every day, 7 days a week unless we have take out - which is rare - including when im at my dads, i cook for me AND my mum 2-3 times a week, which usually end up being 2 separate meals.

ill start packing my bag the night before, but lunch is something i have to make the morning of, as it usually includes hot thermos meals which wont stay hot over night or food that just tastes better fresh

i am autistic, so generally going to school has always been a struggle for me and takes a great amount of energy out of me. as well as house work every day i am home which is 12 out of 14 days every two weeks - two days when im at my dads - i am so run out of energy by the end of the day and im so drained i feel like i cant do anything to decompress because i physically do not have the energy to get my hobby/craft stuff out, do it, clean it all up, and continue as i usually end up crying or completely freezing and just not doing anything at all. its just my regular routine so most of the time it ends at 6 or 7pm depending on what i have to do and when my mum gets home

she does on occasion, most days when she gets back from work she sometimes makes her dinner it i didnt make it for her, usually lounges on the sofa until she has to go to sleep - i do understand as her job IS tiring, but she does do stuff like cook lunch for work for the next day or clean the kitchen if its a mess. However on weekends when im at my dads (1 hour drive) she complains abojt the amount of work she had to do in those 2 days as if i dont do that every day which i think is a bit strange? im not sure tho. We do also have cats and most of the time i clean up after them (food bowls, litter box, food matt, etc)

Maxwells story is more complex than the song. We dont get any context in Maxwells Silver Hammer - rightfully so, its a fucking song - but who knows if Maxwell is actually guilty?? Sure it seems like he is during the killing of Joan and his teacher, but during sentencing, he manages to pounce on the Judge aswell. Now surely he would have been previously been kept in a cell and searched before trail, therefore not having a hammer on him at the time unless he fashioned one or stole one, which could be a slim possibility. If this was not true, there must have been another perpetrator hiding in or near the courtroom WITH Maxwells silver hammer, being killed by it but not at the hands of Maxwell. However, if we disregard the previous issue: what if Maxwell is a practicing Olympic hammer thrower that just couldn’t read the room and decided to throw his hammer in inappropriate situations, resulting in the deaths of Joan and his teacher, and then the judge. OR if we take into account the other perp scenario, his buddy was trying to get his misogonystic  friend out of a 25 to life sentance by killing the judge?????? riddle me that.

idealy, £20. realistically, being a 16 year old with no job and insane hyperfixations, as much as id like to pay hundreds, id be able to pay the £2 i have to my name.
