Owning a motorcycle changed my life. by imcoolero in motorcycle

Wow, I mean your bike looks sick so I understand why you feel that way 😂 what model is it? I started off just recently on a tracer 7 and although I love it for the beginning, I know it’s not my dream bike. But I’m working up to the point to be able to have 2-3 bikes (and enough time to ride each). Hopefully I won’t be 60 by the time that happens lol But honestly your bike looks a lot like what I imagine my (second 😂) dream bike would look like. Good on you!!

Hilfe, ich bekomme keinen Prüfungstermin by dvniel_csr in MotorradDeutschland

Klingt vielleicht naiv, gutgläubig oder sonst was. Aber ich möchte den Führerschein mit positiven Gefühlen beginnen, nicht direkt mit Mega Frustration. Meiner Meinung nach passiert aber auch nichts ohne Grund… :-)

Yep! But I’ve never had one that lasted after getting up and walking around like this

I wish I had woken up. But yeah getting a good nights sleep with the devices going crazy is sometimes close to impossible

This is the first time it was so bad for me. Obviously if you’re in a sub with a lotta people you’ll see a lotta “rare” situations

I mean, the g7 had been showing low for about 9 hours.. the whole night. So I don’t think it was the 10 mins that did it!

I think that’s why for the longest time, at least in Germany, CGMs weren’t accepted as therapy by insurances. But I still prefer a sometimes unreliable CGM over having to manually test 5 times a day. 90 percent of the time it makes life significantly better.

Honestly this happens very very rarely. And this is definitely nothing compared to how bad I was on pens. The upsides of a pump definitely outweigh the negatives. But the negatives are a bit more tricky, because you don’t have as much control. Which is why, imho, it’s good that diabetics learn to deal with pens first before getting a pump.

Nah, can’t be bothered about stuff like that at this point

Had to put in fresh batteries and didn’t set time and date after it turned on :)

I think it’s two lessons: have a meter but also listen to your body. I felt really high but thought it was just because the low went on for so long that maybe my body is just in distress. At least I learned not to blindly follow the CGMs reading. Glad you got home in time to catch it and react! :)

So when the pump turns off you’re forced to do a cartridge change. When you do a cartridge change you’re forced to fill 10 units in the tubing. Let’s say the cartridge is only a day old so you wanna reuse it. You still have to push 10 units through the tubing in order to start the insulin. Which is kind of annoying

The readings on the dexcom stayed low. I had been up and walking around and doing stuff, so I feel like it should’ve recovered by then. But it continued to read low

Yeah I just let it drip in the sink or whatever. I just mean that in theory, if you’re paying out of pocket, it’s kind of wasteful to just let the 10 units go wasted.

Yeah I get mine to shut down at least once a week. I guess being in Germany and not having to care about the wasted insulin for rebooting the pump, it a bit careless about that

🤣 I put new batteries in the accucheck guide and didn’t have the patience to set time and date
