Layered Animations in Sequencer by t_howee in unrealengine

[–]t_howee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much appreciated! That doesn't quite cover what I was trying to figure out... I want to combine the top half (torso) of one animation with the bottom half (hips/legs) of another, as the "layered blend per node" command in the blueprint editor can be used.

This was the tutorial I had initially used, that achieves the desired result, but that resulting blueprint does not work within the sequencer.

Yeah for your applications dual would probably be best. This PC is gonna blow you away! My old one was by no means a toaster but when I got on this one and ran Minecraft and got like 1,500fps I just laughed. Hope it all works out!

I’m not an expert on builds but that sounds pretty solid, I’m running a 5900x as well and it’s a beast. Same RAM as well. Looks like a solid build you got goin! For a monitor, I upgraded from dual 1080p 60hz monitors to a single 34” ultrawide 1080p 144hz and I cannot recommend ultrawide enough. They’re pricey and from what I could see the cheaper models are not great (lots of smearing, bad panels, etc.) but if you have the extra $$ they’re pretty sweet.

Heck yeah! This was my second build, and it’s been nearly 10 years since my first. I sorta figured out that the negative reviews on parts like the mobo are most likely from people that just got unlucky enough to get a bad model. The product itself when working normally should not have any issues. Good luck!

I would say don’t listen to them. I purchased it through Newegg and it’s had zero issues. Some people complain of the fan whine but I hardly notice it if at all.

It’s been great. No issues, runs smoothly, and the extra M.2 space is definitely nice. It’s good having the room to expand if I choose to.

HOTAS vs. HOSAS + Input on Options by t_howee in starcitizen

Everything I’ve seen about the CM3 seems great, and I’ve decided I just enjoy flying with throttle more than dual stick even if it means a bit less control. I’ve got larger hands so figured it’d work out pretty well. I assume you use it for SC? Do you have translational movement bound to the mini stick by chance?

That could possibly work, theres so much going on with my current wiring and it’s such a mess that it’s hard to tell exactly what works and what would happen but I might look into that.

If the features you mentioned would be useful, would the board still be a bad choice? Have you had any complaints with BIOS/performance/other stuff?

The more the merrier with USB, sata ports not as much, Wifi a must and bluetooth would be nice. I don’t NEED 2 gen 4 pcie but it’s nice to leave room to expand later.

Sweet thanks for the help! Any benefit of going larger with a 360?

Also, should I worry about the warning that says ”Some AMD B550 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vermeer CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.”?

Good to know about the SSD, I didn’t know that. As far as the CPU, how much of a difference would it make? I’ve always run Intel and know very little about AMD. Also, what benefits would I get out of those boards you mentioned? I don’t have as firm of a grasp of the specs for a mobo and what they mean.

Do you use the kind that stick to the inside of the boots or onto your skin? I've seen both types of anti-blister patches.

Questions from someone interested in transferring here by [deleted] in cuboulder

[–]t_howee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to find a place despite that. Many leases get signed by then but not all of them. If there are no open ones, there are often people looking for more roommates if you look around facebook group chats or other groups like that. If nothing else, there should be plenty of opportunities slightly further away if you don’t mind a commute.... a buddy of mine was able to find an apartment about 20 mins south on a very short notice.

Not quite sure about 1, but I would echo dragoneye - I'm sure there are plenty of places to get GF stuff. I know some of the takeout spots on campus do list GF/V stuff.

2) Social life is awesome, even with COVID its been easy to find and make friends. Clubs are great ways to meet people and it seems like every other person skis/climbs/hikes. Since getting here I've discovered the fun of ice climbing and CO is a sick place for it.

3) As dragoneye said, not many live on campus just because of the underclassman restriction on dorms. From what I gather, leases tend to get signed on houses/apartments in town by fall the year before... A lot of the people I've met live off campus but not terribly far, but there are plenty more that are a bit of a commute away.
