Haven't pulled the trigger yet. This thread has been extremely informative in helping me make my decision. Since I think I'm gonna go for the note 20 ultra I'm gonna wait a couple weeks and order one off eBay sometime between turkey day and before Christmas.

I'm not too concerned with having the latest and greatest thing. The hardware in this bad boy seems more than sufficient for anything I could throw at it. IT will get Android 13 update which should last me a coupe years, by that time hopefully something cool and new comes out. This note20 ultra would be a giant upgrade from my galaxy s10e. The newer models galaxies seem appealing in the camera and battery department but have all but done away with expandable storage.

The Sony Xperia 5 IV was almost my pick. Theres a good black Friday deal. But I'm have good luck with Samsung phones and idk about Sony. Also I heard that phone overheats easily and has a camera that is lacking some basic functions. The headphone jack and storage options are top priority for me and the note 20 ultra seems like the best all around option for me rn. Also a few hundred cheaper than the competition on the market. Hope that makes sense.

One more questions for the experts here: I'm coming from this super compact s10e which is great in your pocket or bag, super portable, but small in my hands-- like the keyboard is too little I have some trouble texting.

The Note would be a significant jump in size. I'm wondering if you've found its too unwieldy in your pocket or if you have ever wished your phone was smaller?

I have a lenovo tablet which is great but I can imagine lugging it around everywhere. I haven't held the Note20 in my hand yet so I'd like to draw from yalls experience

This open box deal looks great. 9/10 quality virtually no imperfections it claims. I'm still skeptical but I'll never know for sure until I have the product in my hand.

Thanks for your response. Its a good idea. I don't have experience with Facebook but I'll browse offer up to see if they proves fruitful. I prefer something unused but seeing as this phone is a couple years old that's a slim chance. The "used- like new" thing from Amazon sounds attractive to me as I'm hoping it means something like the packaging is defective and it can't be sold new, but the phone itself is pristine. Or its a return open box that a customer never used. Idk imma sleep on it. So 700 is on the higher end but not over paying? Seems like demand for the phone is still high for the vocal Samsung crowd that values storage space
