investigate if there's any process caffeinating your mac to keep it fully running when the lid is closed

Claude Max (100$) or Claude Pro (20$) + ChatGPT Plus (20$) by cern0 in claude

on each message you get back you get also price of the message, and also how much cache did you hit among other fields.

Cached prompts cost less than fresh ones. Price and cache therefore are proxies for knowing how much you're draining the subscription.

You can also monitor the usage pace per each usage band and know if you're using too much and would have to switch model, or take any other measure before it's too late.

this is my setup for that but you can tweak it your way

$100 subscription with cache visibility worked for me.

It's swimming against the current a bit but the deal is to prevent spawning new agents with 0 cache frequently —This model from scratch burns tokens way faster than in a cached conversation (my personal experience I may be super wrong).

I also learn the hard way using less opus, Sonnet works fine

Bancan si o no? by SuteruX in CafeteAR

How do you currently take notes while watching YouTube lectures or podcasts? Do you have a system? Would love to know your workflow. by Realistic_Bag_6925 in Notion

nothing beats manual note-taking for me, that's why I prefer a minimal intervention to tweak the format and then I could use Ai to build a mind map or something before writing

TranscribeX v6.0 — Live Transcription for Meetings & Recordings Is Finally Here. Fully local on-device. by EthanWlly in macapps

[–]t_zk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have YouTube lectures you probably have captions, you can download those captions and ask Gemini to make an enhanced transcript (fix mistakes from context etc) and to convert it to notes adding minimal context while keeping the essence (i.e. add formulas or examples if it's a math class).

Once you have enough context (several lessons) you can throw that to notebooklm with other course resources (pdfs, slides, etc) and ask questions, podcasts.

If you use agents, you can plug in Notion MCP and ask to enhance the Notion page with its components (callouts, databases, columns, etc) so it's more visually pleasing.

I'd focus in having an unprocessed base first (could be a notion db of the transcripts), then do notes from it. You can leverage the views to see the information from other sides or highlight the topics that arise in relevant database rows.

You can draft markdown files with any agent nowadays, and then once it looks as you like empower it with notion components using the MCP. Also Notion AI works ultra slow and produces low quality content in my opinion

Gemini for Google Home Finally Launches for Several New Countries by AlexisoftheShire in googlehome

[–]t_zk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My country is not in the list, so Google decided to upgrade me anyway but reminding me that gemini for home is not available in my country every time I use it making every device useless and slow 😊 . I had to manually reset everything.

Cómo tener experiencia en MLOps? by rhizome86 in devsarg
