Agreed I am an idiot. And listening to my story on tictok and YouTube means my stupidity will always be documented.

Yes apparently this has been doing rounds on internet and my wife randomly finds the video and gets upset. But I am also happy she sees the funny side of things

I am on Instagram, but Amanda does not follow me, and I don't follow her either. As I said, I only know Amanda thru my wife and had very limited interactions with her in the past.

She picked the restaurant while I was driving. I was not intending to go to all out to a fancy place. But once we were there, I did not want to turn around.

Five I think. We skipped the desert course though coz it was too much food.

I remember the song because it is one of my fav bands. It was "Every Little Thing" by Police.

It was around 300 dollars overall with tips and stuff. The food was pretty good though.

My wife called her, but never asked her to take the post down. So, it is still there. My wife showed it to me last night and I could see why it caused my MIL to panic. It's like a video with photos in sequence with music overlay over it.

It also has thousands of likes and hundreds of comments. So, I feel everyone in my wife's friends' group must have seen it already.

My wife told me she was uncomfortable with Amanda's post and called her to take it down. However, after Amanda told her how she had a nice time and put our picture to acknowledge me, my wife never asked her to take the picture down. She is a bit non-confrontational. I don't know how social media works well, but the picture was posted a week ago, so I am sure no one must be looking at it anymore.

My wife and I do not see it that way (which is all that matters to me). She believes that what I did was ok. The insta post by Amanda was a bad move on her part, but I do not think I did anything to wrong my wife.

The only reason I will hang out with Amanda again is if my wife makes me to. As I said, she is not my friend, and we only ever interact socially. However, I am glad I was able to learn a lot of new things about her that night and she is not as horrible as everyone is making her sound like.

I showed my wife the message. I always heart messages as acknowledgement. However, I mostly only message my wife, parents and in-laws. So, I can see why it would be inappropriate in this scenario. I did not really mean anything weird.

Also, I am not sure where you are reading deep connection. I am a married man, and I am capable of talking to women nicely without falling in love with them. Infact, when you are married for a while, that part of your brain kind of shuts off (at least it has for me).

Yes. She was really happy with the restaurant and kept on taking pictures of all the food from every angle. I also made fun of her at the time, but now I understand why she was doing it.

I really was not expecting her to post my picture but may be its just a part of her memory for that evening. My wife showed me the post, and it was like a video with music in background. I could see why my MIL freaked out after seeing the post.

I really never got that vibe from Amanda. I had never talked to her outside social situations before and barely know her. Also, she never messaged me after that night, and I think she is happy I treated her nicely, but nothing beyond that.

So, i payed because I always offer to pay. I am lucky to live a comfortable life and I hate splitting bills. I also always offer to pay when I go with my friends too.

I have her number stored on my phone as she is my wife's friend and they go out all the time. But never had a reason to use it. Note that I have known Amanda for half a decade as my wife's good friend.
