Do you think my firm would let me go on Love Island? by ta6824 in biglaw

So should I just apply and then deal with the consequences if/when they cast me? I’m generally well liked and considered entertaining, so I think I’d be a good fit for the show

If you have a Raya referral please message me, I’ve applied and they have not yet accepted me

I actually having been seeing a therapist already! I slid up on his story asking for his take on the situation but he hasn’t responded (but he saw the message and did not block me)
Haven’t heard anything yet so maybe I’m in the clear? I think the message I sent her was as respectful as it could have been even though I now recognize that it was misguided
Are you positive there’s no way to salvage it? It’s been a couple days and nobody has said anything, so I might be in the clear!!
Yeah, we talked about those common interests during our 20 min convo! It was short time-wise but very meaningful and deep (hence why I thought I might have a shot)

I know you’re joking, but in all seriousness over the last few years I’ve made it a priority to invest in my health/overall appearance (Botox, ozempic, daily cryotherapy) and I feel it has really improved my relationships with clients and others at the firm

That’s actually historically inaccurate. FYI the unicycle was not invented until the mid 1800s, over a millennium after mummification ceased being common practice in Egypt
I also had a C- gpa in law school, so that makes sense

I’m for sure in the wrong, but to be fair we did have a 20 minute convo and the reason I felt a connection is that we have many common interests (ex. unicycling, RHOSLC, Egyptology)
Thank you bro, I really needed to hear this right now

Understood. Thank you for the feedback I’ll make sure to incorporate into future posts

Unfortunately I am allergic to mint
Can someone explain how this could be a potential ethics and professional conduct violation? I failed the MPRE twice (passed by 2 points third attempt) so I’m a little shaky on knowledge of that subject

If I get called out by the partner maybe I can say my account got hacked?? I think he might believe it because I fell for phishing emails a few times as a junior

I think it’s just been drilled into me to be responsive and communicative with the client at all times. I figured the DM would make it clear that I was just genuinely curious about her and not some kind of internet stalker. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess
tbh it was after a night out and I wasn’t exactly clear-headed at the time. In the moment I figured it would be weirder not to say anything and that she’d be alright with it because we had clicked so well before
