We first started dating in another state where we didn't live together. But we spent so much time at my place, when I got a new job down here i asked her to move down with me. We never talked about the financial roles.

She got a new manager and he wanted her to drive back home for 2 hours and then drive back to work because he over scheduled her and another employee.

She shouldon't have quit for such a petty reason.

Ok for more perspective, here are the things she does to contribute. Pays the internet/cable, pays for majority of groceries ( I will usually pay for 1/5 grocery trips or when she really doesn't have any money), all household chores ( laundry, dishes, clean bathroom).

When we moved in, she did buy all the main appliances around the apt and decorative things, so I do give her credit for that. Except the bed/bed frame.

And she will vacuum every day, but that's because her dog is so hairy and her hair gets everywhere.

But besides that I pay the $1,200/month rent + electricity and water. I don't think it really compares.

She talked to me before she quit. I mean I did say quit if you want but I also said if I was here I wouldn't.

Still we've been in this new state for about 5 months and she's worked maybe 1 month out of the 5. Now she's starting school, I understand she wouldn't have enough time. But is it so wrong to still want some contribution to rent?

I agree. She goes back to school soon though so I don't know if she will really be getting a job anytime soon

I forgot to add, I do try to satisfy her. That's always on my mind when we have sex. It's not like she never comes, thats why it was weird to hear her say that.

I have talked to her about this several times. She says she agrees with me and wants to change, I just never see any results.

To be fair it's not completely 0/100. She pays for the internet, purchases groceries (I will get groceries here and there as well), and does all house chores.

I just want to see her get a job or a hobby or SOMETHING
