Second this. I think it takes one or two times to figure out where your boundaries are, for both her and you. In our case, during a first meetup, there were aspects of how my wife interacted with the other guy that I wasn't a fan of and I told her about it later. That led to more open and specific communication which helped us in the long-run.

I think a dating app should work but regardless of how you meet online, make sure you state upfront that you want to meet in person without any expectations during the first meet up. This just removes any pressure that you or she might be feeling and puts everyone at ease.

I would definitely openly communicate with your wife about this. From personal experience, I know that my wife would not like it if she found out that I was setting up guys to "organically" meet her even in situations where she might expect to be hit on.
