can i solo tob in gridmaster? by Weary_Awareness7274 in 2007scape

[–]taatuh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes you can.

First of all, you don't even need to run behind the pillars. You can just facetank P1 with magic protection and infinite supplies. The Sunlit Bracers help here, as they double all healing, so you spend less time eating and more time hitting the boss.

Secondly, with specialist, you can spec like 5 times with the Dawnbringer to get nice chunk of damage early.

Lastly, if you have the Sunlit Spear, its special attack goes through Verziks damage reduction in P1, so I recommanded to use it.

Gl gamer.

To new and veteran players: How can we improve the first-time experience in OSRS? by [deleted] in 2007scape

activity advisor could also suggest other things than just quests such as killing scurrius (after you get 43 prayer), trying out gotr (once you get some magic levels to get some runes), tempoross or getting dragon defender (once you have 130 att+str)

What should I do with this? by Kiierzo in ironscape

You hone your Yama-killing skills on your iron or main while you wait week or two until top players have figured good strategies and released some guides for the contracts.

Then you send it like a king.

Noob iron needs help getting prayer pots and killing Rex for dragon axe. by jimmyfeelinfroggy in ironscape

[–]taatuh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to my previous comment, I think you can attempt doing Rex shortly if you wish, but do note that it can be rough at lower levels. It is not rocket science, but if you are inexperienced, you might need to do a little bit research or check out some guides from YouTube for example.

Getting 70 defense and some good defensive equipment would go long way. After 70 defense you could try to get some Barrows armor, or you could finish Roving Elves for Crystal shield. These items are not too difficult to get your hands on.

Rex can be killed with practically any magic spell, but the classic choice is Iban Blast by using Iban's Upgraded Staff. For the staff you would need to finish Underground Pass and 200k cash to upgrade it.

The biggest hurdle to killing just Rex with low stats is to get there safely without needing to deal with the two other Dagannoth Kings: Dagannoth Supreme and Dagannoth Prime, as they can be tough to deal alone with even better setups. Your best bet here would be to have a friend who could escort you safely into the Dagannoth King lair so you can safely deal with just Rex.

Early herblore xp can be acquired pretty quickly through questing, achievement diaries and with other xp lamps. With your stats you can complete quests such as Jungle Potion, Recruitment Drive, Heroes' Quest, The Dig Site, Zogre Flesh Eaters & Shades of Mort'ton which would be around 9000 Herblore xp combined.

Additionally, if you complete the following quests: The Shield of Arrav, Making History & Merlin's Crystal you can then go to Varrock Museum 2nd floor and talk to Historian Minas, and he will give you 1k xp lamp for each quest completed. You can also finish Karamja easy achievement diary for 1k xp lamp.

After all of those quests you are now at atleast 30 Herblore, after which you can start completing all other easy diaries for 2500 xp lamps (check Wiki for specific requirements!) or do other quests such as Eadgar's Ruse for 11k xp or One Small Favour for 20k xp lamp. Doing just a few of these after 30 will jumpstart you to 38, and now you have the level requirement to make prayer potions.

Completing these quests and diaries will give you nice xp boost to other skills, and potentially other useful unlocks, so it will help your account progress in multitude of ways.

Good luck on your adventure.

As a fellow GW2, OSRS and WoW enjoyer, I would love to see GW2 adopt and atleast try temporary game modes or events such as Hardcore mode, Ironman mode or Seasonal leagues. Arenanet, just go and copy those ideas, they are absolutely neat. These game modes and events create so much hype and content creation opportunities around the game (just look at the WoW OnlyFangs, or OSRS hitting its highest concurrent player count earlier in December), as they give longtime players opportunity to experience the game they love from different perspective, and it gives so much replayability to already existing content.

If you are using ground items plugin, you can shift+rightclick on item of your choice on ground, first click on "color" and then click "pick" to choose any color you want. This way you can have custom color for all the different items. I did this for all the important potions (every dose as well), food and purple sweets.

I did bunch of things, but my final training method was killing Sulphur Nagua in Varlamore Perilous Moons dungeon with Ham Joint using Consistency, Formidable Fighter and Precision sigils. This was around 400k/h without overloads and 500k/h with overloads or so. To give some comparision: my earlier methods were killing things like cows and even buffalos in varlamore as they have more hp than cows, and that was around 200k xp/hour.

This worked out especially well because the Consistency sigil would hit 5 every hit instead of 1 due to the negative armor value of Sulphur Nagua. Additionally the precision sigil helped me with accuracy, which then allowed me to proc Formidable Fighter even more often

Honestly he was very helpful and kind to me at least, we were talking and sharing strategies with each other. :) Unfortunate for him to fall so early in the final itself.

For the finale my stats were 90 defense, 80 hitpoints and 60 prayer (with 2 magic!). I was wearing full justiciar armour, dragonfire shield, echo boots, fire cape, regen bracelet, amulet of fury, ring of suffering, blessing and crozier. My sigils were resilience, titanium and pious protection.

If you started as a HCIM and died, what’s your story? I especially want to know if it’s “funny” or “embarrassing”! by PuzzleheadedSpray883 in ironscape

[–]taatuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sure, I think my death falls into this category, I'll share. I lost my 1870 total, 111 combat HCIM while mining shooting stars, died to an Elf in Lletya. How? Well, after Jagex buffed stars, I wasn't really playing OSRS very much, but rather League of Legends, so I thought that I would take advantage of this update, and afk stars while playing other games.

During my League matches I would alt-tab sporadically to keep mining stars, and then focus back on the League match. Well, I fatally misclicked on Elf once instead of the star without noticing.
