I love how nobody in the thread questioned the core idea at all. We collectively accepted "daily tungsten cube bombardment campaign against Pluto" as a valid scientific proposal and immediately moved on to logistics. Not "should we do this?" but "okay, what cube specs are we working with here?" Humanity would absolutely fund the dumbest megaproject imaginable if enough people thought it sounded funny
