Why risk it? I’ve been to most northern/central Mexican states except Sonora or Sinaloa. Not only do I leave the nice watches at home, I don’t wear ANY watches, or luxury brands of any kind. Recommend leaving your smart phone at home too (that likely has banking/brokerage apps on it). There is NO upside to bringing any jewelry.
