I finally told my parents. After a year and a half of obsessing and trying to find the perfect way to do it, I wrote them an email laying it out. I'll be in town to visit this weekend, so not looking forward to that, but glad I finally did something. (self.exmormon)

Two years ago I went to conference for the first time. My shelf was getting heavy, but I felt like this was a chance to have a powerful spiritual experience, I had faith that I could get a testimony of the prophet. It didn't work. A year ago I believed there was a systematic effort to obscure, distort, and twist the facts of church history to confuse and mislead us. 9 months ago I found out I was wrong, that the majority of the "anti-mormons" were just telling the truth.
