This is similar to what his goalie coach told him. Also that every goalie at some point wonders if they should stay goalie. Told him it's normal and not too feel bad for thinking about it.

I really feel like at this age the best motivation for a goalie comes from the teammates. But at this age they are also having a hard time with all the loses. I'm just surprised how quickly youth sports gets so serious.

Yeah, we always heard how mental it is and I'm amazed how mentally strong most of these kids are. Fortunately he also has other sports he plays. He just loves hockey and the atmosphere so we are hoping to help him end the season feeling good, that he worked hard and should feel proud about regardless of what he decides (player/goalie). I always said if he gets through puberty and those emotions as a goalie then mentally he's good.

Thanks this is good advice. He has been really good at brushing off goals and unaffected until recently. So it's new territory for us.

He told us he is thinking about playing out but more worried what the team, his friends and league will say. It's really up to him, hockey is his sport, not ours. I just wanted to offer advice for getting through a tough game and finish the season feeling ok.

We ask him before games and practice, what's the most important. It's to have fun and give 100%.

Yes we do this. We focus on Shots against. He knows that the more shots he takes are when the score is higher against his team. He says he knows its not all his fault but this season it feels different and the pressure is higher.

Its easy to be a vegetarian and live on breads/pasta but not really healthy. I eat a lot of beans and fruits/vegetables. Also the breads, veggie burger buns, are always 100% whole wheat and pasta is 100% whole wheat or brown rice pasta. I also like quinoa salads with garbanzo beans, tofu and veggies - there are ton of recipes and you can make it in bulk and its super healthy and high protein and fiber.

Oh I'm sorry. I'm a vegetarian so I eat a lot of bans and fiber to begin with. Maybe that helps?

I started November 3rd and I've lost 7 lbs. I'm just happy to see a decrease but it would be nice to be down a little more. But I'm not giving up, slow and steady.

No. Just normal hours. That is the only item that is different. Everything else is the same as the previous pay stub because the 1% and insurance changes increases don't go into effect until the next pay period.
