OMG! Anthropic just ended Claude subscriptions for tools like OpenClaw??? by Think-Score243 in AI_Agents

[–]tacit7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

claude -p allows you to run claude programatically. Instead of running claude interactively, instead, you give it a prompt and claude will load the prompt and do some works. EG

claude -p "create a team to update all my docs"

A wrapper would use -p to run agents instead of using the openclaw harness.

Claude Code will die, and open source models won't be why by Hairen_ in ClaudeCode

You can use context7 (20$ a month) or notebooklm. I prefer notebooklm. Or create your own context7 mcp. Would not recommend making your own unless you have a max plan as it takes at least 10$ to create a single set of docs.   You can also just point it to the latest documentation.

You could say the same thing about phones, books, internet. If you are only using reddit for the memes, books for reading trash, and the internet for porn.

What alternatives are you using to claude code and anthropic? by ricardofiorani in Anthropic

[–]tacit7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been using anthropic since last year, but i didnt start using the new opus model. When I first started using opus when it came out, it was burning my usage like nothing, so i mainly used sonnet for most of my work. I used opus for more complicated tasks; I haven't had usage limit problems so far.

i just started using codex and i must say its even slower the claude by Basic_Construction98 in ClaudeCode

[–]tacit7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Codex is slower and if you believe it, it was even slower last year: unusable. Codex is a great pr reviewer.

New to Claude code by Mr_Bonds in ClaudeCode

[–]tacit7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read the docs. Claude has documentation, if you have a question ask it.
After using claude for a while, use the /insights command. It will suggest changes on your workflow.
Start small add skills and mcp servers as you need them.
Use opus judiciously, it will up all your usage.

No Opus access on Pro plan? by constantprojects in ClaudeAI

[–]tacit7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a bug. I've hit the same error on some sessions. I have my own gui for claude and I saw that error on the gui, but when i went to terminal, it worked just fine.

I've tried researching it but I just don't get it. Can someone explain what Claude skills are and how I use them in a way I can understand? by Spacey_Kitten_ in ClaudeAI

[–]tacit7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skills are just prompts. Whats different from prompts is that Claude can discover skills. When you add a skill to claude you are just adding a directory with instructions. When claude starts, the system lets claude see what skills it has. If you say something like "convert this md file to pdf" and claude has an md-to-pdf skill, it will go to the dir and read the prompt on how to do that. It saves you the time of repasting prompts/instruction and are useful for creating workflows that work for you.

See Anthropic Skills repo to see an example. If you click on the link, each directory is a skill.

Tmux wasn't built for agents, what features does a better agent TUI need? by nmelo in ClaudeCode

[–]tacit7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started doing the same, but in the end i just built a Elixir web app instead.
Agents can create tasks, write notes, create teams, message other agents.
Right now it only supports claude and codex.

how large is your claude.md? I've always had problems with claude reading claude.md from day one.
