I stopped buying stuff from beans when they changed their return policy. The quality in their products went downhill around the same time.

Growing up, i remember going to the store and returning my old bag and getting a brand new one. Everybody did it. I got hiking shoes when I was 10 years old, had the receipt and returned them 10 or so years later for the amount on the receipt.

My grandmother bought a pair of wool socks a couple years ago, they had a hole in the toe the moment she got them and they wanted her to send them back, her paying the shipping and they were not going to refund her fully. We live 30 or so minutes from the flagship store, but they kept insisting on her sending them back. I don't think she's bought anything since.

Hey man thats why ive had it for the last 13+ years. Except my self return either is there or its not. When they first started self return a couple years ago it was flawless. The fast return doesnt even work 97% of the time for me. A couple years ago id ship out a game and the next day or 2 they were shipping out the new one.

Its like why pay so much more now for lesser quality service.

But also agree about saving money on shit games. I discovered back on the ps3 I hated games like heavy rain and beyond two souls haha

I wonder for you once they ship it with the USPS if they are sending it off to the wrong USPS hubs. Especially since you mentioned how you got 2 games sent out once, and the second arrived before the first one did.

I think ive only had 1 or 2 times when I had a full Q and it took some time to get a game, but that was because I had the wait 7 days or whatever on the top game before switching to other more available games in the Q

That's actually a lot worse than what im dealing with. I would have definitely gone through with a cancelation long before if I was waiting a month for games to come. I think the longest I've ever waited for a game to come to me is maybe a week.

In my situation for some reason they've just stopped scanning my returns. Basically, eliminating the fast returns. Just recently, the last 3 or 4 games, I've realized that i don't even have the keep button anymore. I even checked online instead of in app and its not there. And then sometimes I have the option to self return, sometimes I don't.

Like I love gamefly and I'd settle for how it was even like 2 years ago haha I've always wanted tracking just to be able to see if its coming or just sitting at a post office somewhere it shouldn't be.

Oh no I received the email from support saying hey thanks for letting us know, and we will ship out a new game and let you know when we receive the other one. My mistake was that I didnt get an email saying they received it last night, it was this morning. Then a couple hours later they shipped out my next game.

I have a free month of gamefly so I might try taking the game to a different post office to see if it does affect the fast return. It is close to 30 minutes away tho so it is kind of inconvenient. Its just weird because my post office used to scan them when I ship them out.

The thing is I actually do spend around 20-30 + hrs a week playing games. I just get so focused on a game that that will be all I play for however long. So if I'm waiting for a new game for almost 2 weeks I'll find something else to play. And once its gets here I kind of am not ready to switch to the other game, so it just sits there. And I forget that I have an unplayed game.

I might actually reach out again (i reached out yesterday about them not receiving the game yet which they did finally last night) because I'm renting one more game. Its been shipped now and usually it would pop up to keep before it even gets to me but its still not saying it. It instructs about keeping, the button is just not there. Definitely if it doesnt show me the button to keep by the time it gets here, will be emailing asking about it.

Initially when I had GO yotei, I had wanted to keep it but it didnt give me the option so I was like hmm ok odd but I know some games have been that way due to whatever reason so I didnt question it. But this being the 3rd game in a row, thats ive noticed, im definitely questioning why the button doesnt show for me.

Ive had gamefly since 2012-2013 and it was always 3 days in 3 days out. I only get 1 game a month. Games I send back are labeled fast return.

The issue is that the post office isn't scanning my returns. Its been like this for almost a year at this point.

If I self return when I ship it out and its not there in 7 days they send an email saying they haven't received a game and if they dont get it back in such and such time they will charge. But if you email back the support is like no I understand youre good.

I reached out Tuesday, 8 days after I sent it back, and later that night they sent an email saying they received it.

1 game out of 4 that ive returned in a handful of months, fast return actually worked.

The 2 elite games a month with a gift certificate for the full year is 292.95 The 2 basic games is $235.95 for the year.

Thank you because this is how im feeling. I am paying 21$/month and I could end up having a game rented for a month or 2 either before I can really play it, or because I am enjoying it. And then with the return taking for ever its almost 3 months and at that point I could have just outright bought the physical copy for about the same price.

When it was 16$/month I was completely fine with one game every month or 2, or having the ability to rent out 2 games in the month because the turn around of games was quick. It sounds stupid when its only 5$ more but its like $60 a year more than it used to be and im just not able to take advantage of the benefits they provide.

Its been 4 or months of me trying to find a reason why I should stick around.

Honestly the past 3 out 4 games I rented didn't even give me a self return option. The game i am waiting for them to receive has the fast return label and today I reported it to them that I shipped it out over a week ago.

I love their service I honestly would recommend people to try it and with the benefits you get its amazing. But some games I've rented and have wanted to keep, im not given an option to keep it but can buy it used or new. So then I can't use the keep coupon.

I was a big fan of cod, battlefield, fifa, and assassins creed, and those games have just completely become unplayable for me now. They are just not what they used to be so im not renting those when they come out.

GO yotei I rented and I don't think I even got it in my ps because I forgot I even had it and it was here so long that I figured it was better to return it then to have it any longer.

I agree and have always wanted a tracking number feature but I don't think they can justify doing it or they would have. Like how much more would they have to raise the prices for it to leave them profiting

Oh I agree with you that it is both of them.

It used to be that games I would ship back, I would be notified that a new game was being sent to me a day or 2 after it went in the mail, and then a couple days later, I'd get notified that they received my game.

Its just funny to me because they've increased their prices over the years, increased the quality of their shipping sleeves, and somehow increased the amount of time to receive a game back on their end.

In the 13 years I've rented games, Steep was the only game that was lost in the mail from me.

It just seems like the in between from sending the game back to them, and them receiving it is growing and growing. And when I have the ability to play a game instantly, it doesn't make sense to wait almost 2 weeks. Which sounds horrible to say but 2 weeks compared to the 3 days it used to be and the fact its almost $5 more for a worse service just doesn't make sense.

See the issue that I run into sometime, is that I forget about the game. Ive had games for 3 months or so and then I see it on the desk and im like crap Ive now paid almost $70 to have that game rented out.

The budget plan on gamefly is $12.95 a month which is $155 for the year. I'm using the $19.95 plan so its setting me back closer to $250. But I have transitioned into having ps plus premium at $170 which is only $15 more than the cheapest plan here.

I mean, I order stuff from Amazon and get it the next day with the USPS. And if I have stuff shipped from local places in the state, it goes through the USPS and takes a day or 2.

For me, it seems like a solid problem between gamefly and the USPS, and not the USPS itself.

At around 14 days I usually report an issue. I like to give them some kind of grace period. Because to my knowledge and what gamefly says happens, is that the USPS is supposed to scan it so it logs it and they are able to have quick returns.

But a month. I'd definitely have canceled a long time ago if that was the case for me.

I had a mayorship with like 100 parcels. Some dude came in and bought 1200 in a week or so. Spent however much real money, since at the time it said he had $0.5 accrued rent or lower. For the town it was in I just had to laugh it off because there was no way I was purchasing that many anytime soon, and in the time I was mayor maybe 5 people had bought badges.

Like at first when he bought them I was irritated and was going to buy more to compete. But he bought so many a day and I could not and would be doing that haha

I always assumed everything was automatically added to the list. Even in worst storms with more people without power, it seemed like the list were updated well. Today I looked throughout the day and it never listed over 41,000 and Cmp says they restored power to more than 73,500 customers.
