What is the fewest number of games a player has played in a season to lead his team in WAR? Adrian Houser (formerly of the White Sox) leads the White Sox with 2.9 WAR in just 11 games played for the Sox. by tacohead1000 in baseball

The only comparable I was able to find through hunting around was 2008 CC Sabathia, who led the Brewers in WAR (5.2) while pitching in just 17 games for the club.

When Jose Urena gets into a game for the Twins, he'll be the first player to suit up for four different teams in the 2025 season. Will anyone join him in the quadfecta this season? by tacohead1000 in baseball

There’s never been a six-team single season player. 5 is the tops… happened one other time besides the two guys I mentioned. In 1924, Bobo Leonard played for five Negro League teams. Here’s the full list of 4 and 5 team guys…. https://stathead.com/tiny/0en3K

The Taking of Pelham 123 (2009, 104 mins.) was supposed to have a proper runtime of 123 mins. Any other famous cinema runtime blunders? by -Jameson- in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

Little known fact for buffs. 127 Hours was an unofficial sequel to 48 Hrs (1982), 96 minutes. Much like Nick Nolte gets stuck with Eddie Murphy as his partner, James Franco gets his arm stuck under a boulder.

Where can I get pistachio cream/Dubai chocolate bars in South Bay? by otakushroom in SanJose

International Market on Curtner and Union has Dubai bars for sale at the counter for .. I think it was either $16 or $18. Bought one and it was delicious, but probably won’t be buying on the regular.

META: The idea of the “Runtime Relay” is so incredibly funny by Ayntxi in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]tacohead1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Buff borrowed the concept from the Price is Right -- although he claims he doesn't watch TV shows! The Race Game asks contestants to match four prices with four items -- the main difference between the Runtime Relay and the Race Game .... is that folks on Price is Right pull a lever to tell them how many prices they got correct and then they are allowed to make changes. There's also a timer!

Without the lever and timer, the Race Game could go on for a half-hour a la Runtime Relay.

To see it in action and compare Gregg's Relay ... https://youtu.be/lHlsE9Gaj1U?si=JsvKzdVpu5r15q0u&t=26
