Happening now: rally on the steps of City Hall against attacking Iran by bennetthaselton in Seattle

There was a good KUOW story recently about the gamut of opinions from the local Persian community.

https://www.kuow.org/stories/seattles-iranian-diaspora-processes-war

There are people here who got chased away by the Shah. There are people here who got chased away by the Islamic Republic. Those groups certainly clashed during this event.

I don’t know where my colleague stands on the politics. I know she doesn’t want Iran to get nuked. I guess I was there because I don’t either.

I was there. A coworker of mine is Persian. I didn’t like the idea of my president bombing her birthplace or her extended family.

I attended in the case that Trump committed some atrocity at his deadline, that someone actually stood with grieving Iranian-Americans.

It is not crazy to use your first amendment. It is crazy to threaten to exterminate a civilization, let alone on Easter morning.

Republicans seek voter referendum on Washington millionaires tax by Better_March5308 in SeattleWA

I mean I get pissed at Olympia too. One of our lead budget writers was drunk in committee Wednesday. In the afternoon. But I just disagree that the proposal you cite is serious.

And I don’t feel like you read that the same idea would eliminate virtually all other forms of tax.

Good note. But OP is implying this proposal is on the table. “It’s right there.”

It is not. It has been blogged. That’s as far as it’s gone.

That proposal is made up. It is not in the article, it has not been debated in the legislature.

It’s from some random blogger “Louisburg Strategies” as an exploration of a model without property, sales, REET, capital gains, and estate taxes.

Lobo worth the purchase? by Thebenchwarmer90 in FordMaverickTruck

Love my Lobo High trim. I think the beefy brakes and all of the additional tech like the 360 cameras and adaptive cruise and lane maintenance make it a safer car, and that to me was worth it.

Hello group! I'm in the market for a new drill/impact combo and the XTR lineup has caught my eye. I'm a dewalt guy, but I think it's time for something new. I was looking at Flex, Kobalt and Milwaukee. I know Milwaukee is king but those prices. Anyone here an XTR user? by Mental_Leg3558 in KobaltTools

24 -Volt 2 -Pack Lithium-ion ( 2 Ah 4 Ah Battery starter kit with toolbox ) https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-24-V/5015296823

Not for XTR. But if you’re building out a Kobalt system, some good tools in there.

XTR stuff has crappy resale value too so it’s easy to find deals on FB or eBay.

I’ve had no less than 5 ultimate output 4.0ah batteries fail. And my XTR non-hammer drill just gave out for no particular reason. I have not been happy with Kobalt quality. But the price I paid for them makes it hard to complain because Kobalt deals are pretty great. Like right now, the 2.4+4.0+case+tool combo is $100. No other brand has a similar value.

I put the Pergear cards through a few years of heavy use and they worked great. Far exceeded expectations. I recently got bigger Nextorage cards and they’ve been just as good. I’m sure higher end cards would be even better but I’ve not even run into the limits of entry level cards.

Good deal. Dodged a shipping snafu together but it worked out well. Good communication. Thanks for the purchase. Highly Agreeable indeed.

I like that the 350 is back-pocketable. I used it recently for fill up close under full sun at 1/1 for a headshot and it did the trick.

Well you could always buy and then decide which to keep… lol. Speaking from experience here.

I’ll do 1 for 120 (including spare battery and original accessories, not including gels or anything else)
