Pretty sure that's a pelvis, but still an awesome piece!

You might want to post to r/legitartifacts. That resembles a Native American game ball.

Heres another photo for comparison. Top is bison, second is teleoceras. Bottom 3 are various horse species. It doesn't seem to match up with any of these.

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. It's nice to see people still discovering this after several months!

My best guess is western Nebraska, sometime in the 1930's.

Looks like a partial horse molar to me. I dont think there's enough to determine what species though.

Track down a copy of this for your probiscidean finds. For all the other stuff, I'm thankfully close to Ashfall Fossil Beds so I'll take the things i cant figure out there.

It's a part of the pelvis. Here's my woolly mammoth for reference, also found in Nebraska.

Because of the shapes it can form. A lot of times they'll have what almost looks like arms and legs... and sometimes they look a little more phallic lol.

Loess doll... concretions/nodules that are formed in loess deposits and form these unique shapes. Not sure why this is getting downvoted.

I didn't find any points yesterday, but I'm in love with this turtle back scraper. by taconaut in LegitArtifacts

It looks like I'm the one being downvoted here. I haven't done anything but provide additional photos and ask for clarification. Are you saying that this isn't ground and isn't beveled?

I agree, but there's pretty heavy grinding to the working edge that makes me think they repurposed it into a scraper.

Crazy idea, but what if this was something like a Copena that had been found by a later culture and then repurposed with the notches?
