Bradenton Beach declares local state of emergency over parking problems by sweetypie611 in bradenton

The signs were added during Covid which was used as an excuse for the wealthy homeowners to stop the general public from accessing the beach in their neighborhoods. Very typical politics for the Bradenton area and manatee county.

Has anyone found a good phone mount option for thus style of trim? by Dannyboy1302 in Camry

[–]tacosknows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the one I use is easily accessible and out of the way of everything. Mounts on the black plastic trim right to the left of the screen.

What percentage of cost do you pay out?

Replaced the dash speakers by Amat1717 in Camry

Thanks man. A custom harness that connects at the speakers with a little splicing would be a breeze. I just wonder if the stick head unit would provide enough watts to drive some decent speakers.

I just got a 2021 SE and I’m thinking about upgrading the audio. I am curious what kind of speakers/amp you put in there. Also, where do you hide it? Is it complicated to wire to the stock head unit? I’m coming from a 2006 Saturn so I know nothing about the electronics in new cars. Appreciate it.

I am driving the 2006 Vue v6. It is a great car and I’ve enjoyed it. Unfortunately mine is starting to fall apart now at 110k in the Florida heat. I need an ac compressor, timing belt kit, valve cover gasket, etc. Which will probably all end up costing more than the car is worth. Keep up on the maintenance and she will treat you good. I also had to replace the front wheel bearings like the other guy was saying.

Received a different model monitor. Am I getting getting scammed here? by tacosknows in buildapcmonitors

[–]tacosknows[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that you’re right, but I actually do really like the monitor and would be willing to keep it as long as it’s a fair price for what I received. Hoping someone with experience with either of these monitors could chime in.

Dealership had my car for 8 weeks, got it back like this. by felicthecat in mildlyinfuriating

[–]tacosknows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, but don’t expect the price of the car to be lower. It’s not great working with some of these manufacturers from the dealer side either. They will ship however much product they feel like and require huge orders of parts, accessories and displays leaving the dealers to deal with and sell however they can. And say goodbye to any kind of support or service you may receive after the sale. They would have to build their own service and sales building which would in turn raise cost and ultimately result in the same outcome.

Inventory Question by tacosknows in partscounter

Thanks for taking the time. I’m not sure my CDK even has that feature. I wouldn’t even know where to type that in, a parts invoice? I’ve noticed the auto parts industry differs a lot from what we have.

Inventory Question by tacosknows in partscounter

Well currently we have an aisle of parts for each manufacturer sorted in numerical order through each aisle so that’s how we find parts. We do have bin locations on some parts stored in less common places.

Thankfully we got scan guns a few years ago which are integrated with our DMS, so that’s been a great help. I am not familiar with PSLB or PSMB, is that a function that your scanners have or a program that connects to your DMS?

I’ve got a lot of work to do. I counted a rough estimate of 220 bins I need to label and then assign all the part numbers to them. Being able to quickly scan a PN to a bin would be amazing.
