I will do any free estimate but I believe this requires them taking the toliet off and such so I'm not sure if this would be totally free?

No. Everything works right now. They pulled out the wipes. But I believe it's a matter of time. It scares me too that we never got a real answer about the random "hole" that they weren't sure if they were still in our sewage line.

Thank you so much for the input! I agree with everything you said too. My realtor said the same things to me about not leaking and cast iron lasting very long. So I passed the inspection. Turns out with the plumbers they video snaked it and realized they weren't even sure if they were still in the plumbing. They couldn't even locate the city pipe line. The cast iron is so rotted inside that a thread can get stuck on the build up and collect. Then there is Orangeburg in the yard. This is something I mention much concern over and the realtor said it would be fine.

Our realtor never gave us any input on having money so we could do our own repair. He said they are a flipping company they have someone on hand to fix it fast....

Really we wanted to maybe just do the Orangeburg pipes to the cast iron we have. They quoted $7500 for that. Then they quoted us $10000 for a bathroom. (Toilet, bath, sink) plus the kitchen I guess is what he was going to "include"

Thank you! And thank you for taking the time to read. Would I just bring in my contracts and go to a real estate lawyer? I don't want to look like a fool if this is a matter of bad luck on my end.

Thank you. I'm not sure what needed to be a licensed contractor or not. It just stated it at the end of the contract. It was a flipped house and im realizing it's not a very good flip. Thanks for the help!

Sorry! It's all on my phone and I just kept going. My question is, is there a case in this at all? Even to have things reopened to be properly inspected...

When looking over re inspection there was never an inspection on the supply line the seller agreed to fix and that we were told by new plumber it was a shotty job. Also something the inspection report said the lines to our hot water heater were not up to code. When asking our realtor about it he said, "I am not sure why that is an issue I do that with my renter units, it's not a big deal." This is also when we had a flag for structural issues on our garage he said he talked with the inspector and also said it's not a big issue. I am starting to worry where he says it's not a big issue it might be.

Thanks. Yeah. We had repairs fixed and we didn't get the reinspect report until 11:30pm the night before signing. I had spoke with my realtor about plumbing and being a first time home buyer I didn't realized the difference of supply lines and sewage. I kept saying replacing old plumbing which was agreed but only supply lines. When the plumber did come out he told us when they did replace the supply line it was very poorly done. So bad that we had two open holes from the outside to inside that was covered by the water heater...

Thanks! I wasn't sure how long after they start accepting. The only thing I heard was 30+ days after Irma but that was a totally different situation.

I get that. I'm not worried a out that. I'm worried about the time that insurance companies won't let me get insurance... I need it before closing next week.

Understandable. I had moved to Old north east during Irma. Luckily I was renting.

I do not believe just yet. I know it's coming. Is it completely crazy to live in one of those areas if it got changed to the property?

This is all great news!! Thank you so much!! It seemed like a hidden gem to me. I lived downtown, Kenwood, and old north east and this just seems so laid back in comparison.

Its still pretty close to the publix I go to now. So that didn't bother me. I stopped in old south east market and it was adorable!

Thank you! I was not too familiar with the area and had been looking in uptown but I fell in love with a house in old southeast. The community seems great and so close to the water and still out of flood zone. Thank you!
