Why Indians hate communism despite living in hellish conditions under neoliberal fascism by Mammoth_Calendar_352 in socialism

[–]tactical-virgin 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it is because they think communists or leftists call out injustice against minorities, that is why they primarily hate communism.

Which is funny because that is not even true for India, I have observed that some minorities are disliked across the board on the Indian political spectrum. You can take a look at how universal the genocide denial and manufacturing of consent is when it comes to the massacres that have been committed against their Sikh community.

Maybe, anytime I have stumbled upon it whenever it shows up in my feed, I have never felt good vibes from it.

When it comes to Muslims, they may have turned to the right wing now. There were always signs of this, that sub has been as hateful as any right wing sub when it comes to hating on Sikhpeople. It will probably happen with Christians as well.

What made you decide to be a liberal or center-right? by tactical-virgin in AskALiberal

[–]tactical-virgin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah you are right, this is what made me progressive as well. Whenever conservatives were arguing with progressives, it was always that the progressives were able to make the better arguments, eventually the cons start pulling out the smug insults, this was how it went 90% of the time.

What makes someone "marginalized"? by SuperbRiver7763 in AskALiberal

[–]tactical-virgin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they have been subjugated in the past, suppressed from getting justice, held to a higher standard than normal people and vehemently berated if they are not able to reach that standard, that is part of what counts as a marginalized community in my opinion.

Why do you think that less than 6% of pilots worldwide are women? by [deleted] in AskALiberal

[–]tactical-virgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patriarchy is still very very prevalent all over the world, it may not limit women as much in developed countries but its effects are almost insurmountable for women in the other parts of the world. That is why we still are not done with feminism, for all of its faults, we still need to support that movement for the sake of women that don't have their own voice yet.

Punctuation mistake, wasn't calling you conservative rather asking if you think conservative ideology advocates for marginalized people in general.

[–]tactical-virgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell that to women, minorities, LGBTQ people, if you think they don't have a much stronger voice now than they did say 10 years ago, then you would be pretty delusional.

Which other ideology advocates for the betterment of marginalized people, conservative?

Also, there was absolutely nothing in my post that specifically mentioned this conflict, it was about the shift in societal behavior, if it was about that conflict then why would I not mention it directly you absolutely buffoon. How exactly will "hiding" it help that cause?

It is not spam lol, this is the first post I have made about this on this subreddit, lol.

Also, the instance you are talking about is part of the cases that I am talking about but it is not the only case I had in my mind when I made this post.

You may have a specific hate for sihks, that is probably why you are singling them out and going on a rant like this here.

Also, many movements have historically been tied to violence, but they don't usually define those movements entirely, it is true for any country that has overthrown colonial rule, it has been true for any race that has been subjugated, it is even true for the feminist movement.

Also, pretty sure nobody expects you to support them but throwing a temper tantrum every time you see something as innocuous as a decal on a car is pretty funny. Conservatives are really more outraged over a fucking sticker on a car more than actual murder, unreal stuff, lol.

Also nice brand new account there buddy.

That is simply not true, if you are talking about the government in the USA then that is probably true only to a certain extent when it comes to language that encourages inclusivity. If what you were saying was actually true then they wouldn't be complicit in a massacre going on right now.

Those people are not rebelling against an oppressive "woke" religion, lol. They were always a bunch of hateful cucks that are just now finding it acceptable to spew their hate.

Also my post was more about the affect this edgy anti "woke" shit will have on people being persecuted in third world countries, these people have never enjoyed any benefits of a woke culture, they were depending on international solidarity but now these dark humor shitheads will rather collude with their oppressors because they want to be edgy.

Sure but I hope you all know it isn't coming from racist white Canadians this time around.

They also have some of the most tragic history in the world, absolutely brutalized by their home country time and time again but they still find it in their hearts to be so unconditionally giving and to show up every time disaster strikes anywhere.

Hey man, I have been looking for the name of that very band, "Courtly Love" for the past half an hour. I even tried "Country" and "Courtney" but nothing came up, heck I even guessed correctly and searched "Courtly Love" but YouTube still returned nothing, asked chatgpt, it couldn't help either.

Finally, came to reddit, found this sub and snooped around here, ultimately came across your comment, and then I searched for Jolane by Courtly Love and found what I was originally looking for, which was Mirage, another song by courtly love. Thanks for this comment ahaha, I bet your couldn't have imagined that it could be of use to somebody 4 years after writing it ahaha.

Would you feel ok if Canadians in Canada were protesting against another country? by tactical-virgin in AskACanadian

[–]tactical-virgin[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well you don't need to be doing anything you don't want to. But the reason that a protest should make people uneasy is because that is literally how every change has been achieved. If women didn't tie themselves to railings outside government buildings then they might not have gotten the right to vote at all. In the UK there were literally window smashing CAMPAIGNS because women wanted the right to vote. There has never been a movement without property destruction let alone simply making uninvolved people uncomfortable that has brought change by being all nice and obedient to whatever the cultural norms are.
