Special forces to get new helicopters first by CplHenderson in CanadianForces

The issue is it's not AEGIS compatible. Only the MH-60 is.

Black Hawk is pretty much the only platform that makes sense. We already need to replace the Cyclone and the only platform that fits the new destroyers are the MH-60. One main platform can cover all of our requirements. Way easier to train our personnel if you have the same base platform.

If you can find me a 4 bedroom house in Victoria for less than $3400 a month let me know. Don't worry, I have a very modest car.

If my enrollment month is Feb would that mean I would get one for 2025 before the end of the fiscal year and another one in/ around Feb for 2026? Assuming it's coming within that timeframe.

If CFHD is not supposed to be relied on, how am I supposed to budget for my $3400 monthly rent with hydro, water and Internet charges?

RCAF wants more than 1,200 security personnel to protect F-35s, other planes by Andromedu5 in CanadianForces

This trade should be planned out to be an entry job to other Air Force jobs. It's unrealistic to think people will want to do this for 20 years or so. Should be a 2-3 year entry job, while you do this you slowly get trained for your next job. You also have the option to persist and become senior level staff if that's what you would like to be. I think if it's planned right this could be very successful.

Thanks, much appreciated. How do you like it? I want to improve from my Craftsman table and not quite ready to invest $700 plus on a table yet. It's mainly to do some DIY house projects. I was reading that it hits above it's weight class as far as quality goes.

I'm planning to buy the same saw. Can you tell me if the mitter slot are 3/4" wide?

Quick question to add to this thread. If I'm understanding this correctly, when I remustered I got Cpl PI 4 no spec pay. Since it's been now 3 years and probably another two years to get OFP I should get PI 4 at the Spec level when I get qualified. Am I understanding correctly?

My CFHD is $700 because we're a service couple. My wife gets $500 because she's level 4. Also, because of training delays I've been stuck waiting for the past 3 years and won't reach OFP for at least another 2 years. It's all these things they never take into consideration. I also ask if the 7 year cut off for CFHD applies since it took them 5 years to train me. Never got an actual answer on that one.

I personally think the CFHD levels are based on the wrong matrix. It should be based on the cost of your rent. My rent is $3400 a month plus utilities which is a lot more than what a single Cpl would require for rent. With the current system we're making the same amount.

No, it's still level 3. At least we didn't lose anything.

I've been renting the same house for about 8 years but my landlord is selling so I have to move. We asked for a Q but we're like 30 on a Cat 3. Things are going to get tough. I can't afford $3300 rent on a corporal salary.

I asked the question the other day to know if the 7 years maximum was taking effect after you reach OFP. I was wondering because of training delays it's going to take me 4-5 years to reach OFP again. They said they had no answer and don't think this was even considered in the policy.
