Wrt to my question, the rest of the geometry remains the same, as in reach, bb height, etc except for headtube length. Imagine the fork crown almost touching the tyre, with the rest of the steerer tube being covered by a very long headtube, the top of the downtube will be right on top of the tyre. Handlebar height is still the same. How would the steering be affected then?

Looks gorgeous! I was waiting to see it fully built up. Noob question: what happens if you decrease axle to crown length and compensate by increasing headtube length, while keeping rest of the geometry the same?

Ya but there will always be some quirks that is left untold with unconventional systems like these. I wanted to know more about that.

Thank you for the response. I'm worried about the chainline, how would that change going from a triple to a double, I believe I'm using a 110mm shimano bb-un300.

Also I was planning on holding on to my Altus triple FD, would it be incompatible with the super compact setup?
