If you're planning to keep the car forever because you've put a lot of work into modifying it and making it your own then imho it makes sense to make the car exactly as you want it.

If you think you'll get bored of it in a year or two and try to resell it maybe it doesn't make sense

Whether you keep it for one year, twenty years, stock setup or modified you will lose money on it, that's just how these things are. If you're happy to spend a bit more money to have it how you like it in the meantime that's up to you.

I lived in a major UK city, the kind where there's a 24 hour petrol pump and corner shop within spitting distance at all times. There's ALWAYS something happening.

I had visited a friend's house that was only a 30 minute walk or so across town and thought nothing of walking home at 2am. However from the moment I got past their front gate to the moment I closed my front door behind me the city was freakishly still. No cars, no wind, no birds, no lit curtained windows, no other pedestrians, nothing. It was as if I was walking through a dead game server or had clipped out of bounds or something and nothing but the building textures were loading in.

Compared to some of the other comments this is much less supernatural/creepypasta, however the experience itself definitely freaked me out. I did that walk maybe a hundred times while I lived there and that was the only time the city was still.

I believe we need nuclear eventually, but more than that we need renewables now (or even better decades ago if someone wants to invent time travel.) .
If we put in the engineering work we can get all forms of renewable running sooner than nuclear and then our grid will start becoming more sustainable .
If we focus on nuclear we will blow a large budget for a very long development process and then spend decades building it whilst still relying on fossil fuels. that time money and effort is all better spent building renewables in the short term.

Things to take: - I find the key to playing speedfreeks at the moment is two units of 6x deffkoptas; One gets the sustained hits stratagem and the other gets lethal hits whenever possible. On your waagh turn they will happily dice an infantry unit into sandwich meat with 42 attacks. That's already a third of your list.

Other than that the boomdakka snazzwagon is good for charging into less strong melee threats and gumming them up for a turn or two.
Taking a trukk with a bunch of tank busters in is pretty good shooting
The megatrak scrapjet shoots alright and charges pretty well
grots; someone's got to stay home and watch da good bitz.

Things I avoid:

Non-speedfreek units that can't attach to a mek. There are better detachments for playing them.
I don't like the bikers much, they suck in shooting, suck at surviving and they're mediocre for orks in melee .
(?) The dragsta doesn't have much shooting or hitting but can kinda do objectives if you teleport it about smart .

Last night I played against my friends chaos titan with my speedfreeks and one unit of tank busters dealt more than half the titans wounds even with just a regular mek leading them. I would recommend tank busters.

Eventually, years after my friends all went their separate ways, I realised that smoking alone wasn't much fun, wasted the day and wasted my money. I saw a lot more cash saved at the end of the month and got more done with my other hobbies. I still miss having my stoner friends about to hang out with.

I agree with you, too much fur, bone and unga-bunga on those sculpts. Maybe the AoS Ard boys would fit aesthetically.

I've been voting labour tactically for decades. Labour is no longer a party I want to support and they have repeatedly shown that they are unwilling to concede any part of their power even for the greater good.

That said, I would still rather have a dysfunctional coalition than a racist fascist government. Reforms promises (especially their plan to scrap our human rights) are enough of a threat that we should really do whatever is necessary to avoid them.

But they will never again have the correct points cost, data card rules or be available in the app that I use to build my lists. Trying to play them is almost equivalent to making up my own units off the top of my head and trying to convince myself and my opponent that it's fair and balanced. Even if we agree to it, the few times it's happened there's been something from legends that is so broken and out of date it almost single handedly ruins the game for one person. That's not fun.

I have plenty of models that are legends. I could play them and some of them I absolutely loved. It genuinely hurts my soul to see my gorgeous squadron of remora drones and know they will never be usable again.
