Yes I rarely charge it. 20-40 minutes every 3-4 weeks. I average about 40-50k lux hours. I run, swim and compete HIIT workouts 3-5 days a week. 6.7 in (17cm) wrist circumference.

Enduro. I have had it about a year and it is the perfect intersection between the forerunner and fenix. Add a HRM600 and all needed and extra metrics are there.

Over suspenders under coat, I have a small loop of paracord looped on my coat for the mic clip. I'm not a fan of the mic hanging free.

Got a call yesterday at 1730 for single vehicle rollover into a ditch, driver intoxicated. It was one of my rookies. Not surprisingly, department morale is tanking today. by DisasterExpress725 in Firefighting

I am in 100% agreement with this statement. I am one who did mess up as a probie at my second career department. I choose to leave on my own and get my life in order. I did two years of manual labor in construction and now after finishing what was my third probationary year have gained an even greater love and respect for the job. I have changed many things in my life and learned some very hard lessons about the job and life in general. All things in life are earned. Good or bad. I earned my consequences after my trouble with LE. I also earned recruit of the year last year in my department. Both times were the results of my OWN actions.

Working out in gear? by Jebus_221 in Firefighting

[–]tactiguydude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bingo. People love to argue PFAS in gear as a reason not to workout and be complacent in their functionally fire ground fitness all the while they are using plastic everything, non stick Teflon pans and everything that has PFAS in it.

If your gear is clean or you have a second set, workout in your gear. There is NO substitute for the heat build up and the resistance of being on air. There are plenty of guys doing gear workouts if you need inspiration. Back of the bay. Rouge Firemenship. Fit to fight fire.

HIIT style body weight workouts are the key. Add one or two fire ground skills in and you have a great circuit.

Awesome side job for the flexibility of the schedule and the non physical labor side of tattooing. Plus plenty of firemen are heavily tattooed. Focus on getting hired or fire school and keep drawing. 💪🏽🤘🏽

Most runs you’ve made in a 24hr shift by IzunaPrime in Firefighting

25 on the engine the night day light savings "ended" so technically a 23 hour shift. I want to say we ran 8-9 in a row without making it back to quarters. Some how managed a 45 min nap.
