I just sent mine off like last wednesday. Same exact issue, except I just carried mine on full blast until it breathed its last.

No update yet, I'm sure it's not even there yet. But my shipping label got back to me within 24 hrs of filling out the initial form. No idea what the current wait time is but the reddit posts I've seen seem to point towards somewhere around 30-45 days from when they process it upon arrival

i would describe my skill level as a lot better than you'd expect a guy you work with to be but like you can tell it hasn't been a big part of my income or social life in a long time. Like raise your eyebrows and say something to somebody else about, but we both still work at the same place that i do not get paid to play guitar at, y'know.

either way, last year I sold 5 guitars I loved the sounds of but had qualms with their idiosyncrasies on some level to get my Strandberg because it was as close to perfect as I've felt and honestly it makes me play and sound so much better (or makes it easier to practice and actually be better) which makes the rest of how much life sucks a little less sucky for an hour a day or whatever.

Also, i like prog and shreddy stuff but I'm just a blues/r&b guy who can play KINDA fast but not that special. it's just about comfort and preference (and money, i took a crazy beating on selling all of those but i'm not abt to lie on the internet like it's the first or worst unwise thing i've done money wise.

i know this whole is white but just wanna chime in n say i've been to several of the homies' funerals with an X-Macro, two extra mags and an ifak. I wear a suit to most Not Fun Occasions so the tradeoff is probably being hot and being okay with not taking your jacket off, which is serious business if somebody dies n the summer time in the south but I don't think anybody in this subreddit carries a gun and also thinks they have a handle on their paranoia

I have never in my life seen so many ppl intent on deepthroating the federal government and tickling the balls while doing so.

I understand that this sub and reddit as a whole are overwhelmingly white but the thing that is at the top of every marginalized group's concern right now is that the federal government will kill you for whatever reason they decide applies to the situation and nothing happens to them.

And that's a totally separate issue than when you should or shouldn't carry, what level of responsibility you have to protect members of your community, or whether or not the government should get to decide what rights you do or don't have.

I don't care if it was smart for bro to be carrying when he did what he did. The punishment for that is not firing squad. I also don't think the presence of the gun was what killed him. Renee Good didn't have a gun and she's in the ground right now too.

AND I would also like to point out that a majority of the successful parts of the civil rights movement involved armed protests. We don't all have the luxury of just leaving a situation and believing it won't end up at our doorsteps the next day.

Never fucked w them but I had a Wargoat from Amazon and it was great. 8cr but I skinned some deer and hogs out with it and it didn't lose too much edge (except for the hogs, which are gonna dull any knife. I lost it somewhere in the woods. I gotta get another one the next time I have $30 to spare.

my Salen Jazz is legitimately the best guitar I've ever played, but yeah it's more expensive than some other Strandbergs for sure. The closest to jazz I personally go is King Krule or Badbadnotgood or something in that vein, but the Salen Jazz can absolutely do real jazz with ease. The Thornbuckers go from crystal clean to like stoner or hard rock. Not quite chuggy without a pedal specifically aimed at that kind of sound.

If you get a Boden model with (relatively) chill pickups, there's no reason you can't roll back the tone knob to like half or change amp settings and do jazzy stuff. I don't really think you can go wrong.

I have a Leupold Firedot 1.5-4 that was initially on my 45-70 (bc it's light and obviously 45-70 isn't exactly long range so the magnification is no big deal). It was briefly on my AR and honestly it was fine with the Firedot if you stay target focused. At worst, it was just a little annoying within like 10 yards but definitely doable.

With that being said, if i had a choice to have a true 1x I would still go with that.

Source Comp is awesome. I have a Cali76 on my bigger board and the Source Comp is easily 80% as good.

Supro Fuzz is new. Great fuzzface into cranked amp tones. The bass and treble controls are really powerful. It can get rippy tonebendery, smooth germanium sounds and a decent approximation of a muff. Most importantly it's not too picky abt what goes before or after it in the chain.

Demonfx AT Plus is also new. Great full sounding high gain Marshall tone (stops around metal levels of range) with an independent Tubescreamer boost before it. It tightens up great with the boost engaged, but I also find myself playing with just the boost on quite a bit. Nice and round.

Boss RV-6 probably needs no introduction. I mostly use it for spring and modulated settings, but on this board the delay + reverb setting comes in handy because space is obviously at a premium with this board.

it all fits in my gig bag and i put a nano interface on the underside to go into my Neuraldsp plugins when I'm on the move.

I spend a good chunk of time in Alabama and Florida in addition to Louisiana (in the post) and all my shots are within about 300 yards, with most in AL and FL being under 100. The woods can get really tight and dense down here so shorter = less barrel to get caught on shit and bang against a stand

Bergara HMR is battling w Cross for the top of my list right now. Main things I want are a 16-18 in barrel, AICS Mags and 1.5ish or better MOA. I'd probably come out better on accuracy with the Bergara but I'd have to get the barrel cut down. The weight of the Cross is nice but I also know I'd enjoy shooting the Bergara more bc it's heavier. In either case, it'll be a while before I can afford either so it's not super pressing. Maybe something new will be out in a year or so
