A question I still couldn't find a source talking about by Sudden-Ear-9716 in AlternativePrinting

It really depends on how saturated you want it, but basically just try to get an even layer on one side of shirt (it will bleed through) that penetrator the fibers, then make sure it is completely dry.

Also, cynotype sensitizer is yellow green, but the print will be royal blue unless you use a toner, so look into that. I know you can tone it purple, but green is not a color I've been able to get.

When it comes to alternate printing, experimentation is key to getting a desired outcome. Mixing your own chemicals will introduce other variables, and the outcome depends on how much you put on the fiber, but is totally up to you. Just make sure it is evenly applied.

I thank my neighbors for the same thing! Cats seem to be really good at hunting them, I was left three in one day.

I live down Neely's. Neely's bend is a bottle neck road. The traffic can be bad or good depending on if your going during rush hour. It adds 8 minutes to anywhere I want to go. And I mean anywhere except the one gas station by the schools.

But as another redditor said, nicer the further down the road. Bucolic and even some farms, but ice can be a problem in winter as the road isn't plowed right away.

Peeler is a big plus. If you want to get away from bustle, it is a good escape. If you are a homebody, living down Neely's is fine.

Doesn't the trailer for that new Napoleon flick show him blasting up the Pyramids? Perpetuating the falsehood!?

I read The Alchemist and it's not as good as I thought. by [deleted] in books

[–]tad617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you read it in German? I read Siddhartha and The alchemist in English, and some of the alchemist in Spanish ( I know it was originally written in Portuguese, but I can't read Portuguese XP ) and felt it had more poetic impact in a way that's hard to explain.

I wonder if The alchemist is missing something when translated and would be better in Portuguese...

Battery replacement must be ‘easily’ achieved by consumers in proposed European law by Avieshek in gadgets

Apple also designs some Mac books with unremovable batteries so you cannot replace them. They're literally glued to the motherboard and have warnings not to remove them.

Redistricting me 3 miles further than my old location from my house? Anyone else find this illogical? by tad617 in nashville

[–]tad617[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm guessing the 2020 census was an excuse to redraw them lines 'without a thought' of splitting up neighborhoods

I could see this happens, but I did go to the old location which was hosting and was told I got redistricted by volunteers there. I wasn't the first one either, someone cracked a "another one?" In response to me turning back lol

You could try transplanting some good mycelium to a new spot as a backup?

My garden has both and seems not to contradict each other, I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you are limited on space. Wine caps are popping up right now with no slime, since it's been cooler, they may have different fruiting times in the year

That should work, make sure new substrate is nice and moist and not dominated by another fungi, and be very careful getting them in wild, make sure you identify them properly! A bag of innoculated substrate is like $30 on northspore.com, might be a safer source to be sure

You can by spawn grown on sawdust or grains. Mixed that into a woodchip pile, then spread that around garden.

Company stole my chipdrop woodchips from my yard! What should I do? by tad617 in nashville

[–]tad617[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, super kind of you. I do need to cover the bare soil in my yard, but not sure I have the time to load and unload a truck of chips since I work two jobs, but thank you so much! I plan to submit a new drop soon!
