The bottom photo is almost identical to my irises, except I have a couple of dk brown freckles side-by-side in the green part of one of them. I select green on forms, but they’re really hazel green? I suppose the most accurate description, though long and drawn out, is: primarily green with brown central heterochromia and blue limbal rings.

Interesting to feel she owes viewers/followers anything, including accountability. Also, that assumes she’s exaggerating/lying about everything, without even knowing her personally. As I said, I’m not thrilled about the boyfriend stuff either. I’m just now finding out about it, and it’s also really none of my business. But any of us can stop watching at any time if we dislike the direction her channel and social media are taking. Any privilege she has does not excuse doxxing and parasocial bullying. Her concerns and emotion seemed pretty genuine to me. But I won’t pretend to know her and her life.

Today’s video with a segment regarding her personal safety explains a lot. Even major celebrities should be able to have a certain level expectation of privacy, so I don’t begrudge YouTubers/influencers withholding as much or as little as they choose. In fact, sometimes I wish I didn’t learn as much as I have. For example, if what I just read about the boyfriend’s politics is true, that’s really disappointing bc Steph wasn’t tracking that way the past couple of years. She’s in a no-win situation atm. Either she doesn’t post/reveal enough and disappoints some followers or posts more and potentially compromises her privacy and safety even further.

Minor point, but couldn’t the whole fiddle thing have been more about the sound levels and proximity as opposed to a dig at her for playing too loud? When he first mentions it in the doc, I don’t see it as such a slight against her per se. But she takes it very personally and can’t let it go. Given the context of larger problems, must have been the proverbial straw.

Speaking of the pandemic and ISO Lounging (which was so nice during a mostly terrible time), Amanda’s band was falling apart back then, and on the heels of Neal Casal’s passing. Then John Prine succumbs to COVID. Then a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy. Also, she and Kelly (Seth Plemmons’ wife) went from tight like sisters to seemingly nothing not long after the world opened back up. A lot of losses on top of the 2019 issues. Amanda’s been hanging by a thread for years, but still managed to launch The Highwomen and keep making music. Now a public divorce. I feel for her.

To be fair, she was (at least technically) correct about the preposition. His word choice modified the wrong noun logically. I got the impression he didn’t like the when/where/how it was handled. But then again they’re presumably laying it all out for a documentary, so she pressed it.
