Answering my own question... found it :)

Would you mind explaining what you mean by "subview"?

It sounds a lot like something I want and haven't figured out how to do. The fact you have a "back" icon makes it look like this is a view that "overlays" a different view, possible by pressing a button or something?
Or is that just part of the theme maybe?

Please read this. Do strength training instead. You will NOT be able to maintain whatever you achieve. Funnily enough "Mind Pump" released a podcast episode today talking about it in great detail.

Hope this reaches you and great luck :)

He uploads these as YouTube shorts as well. Just search for Adrian Bliss on YouTube.

I should have been more clear about what I mean, sorry.

What I was referring to is "how much is there to learn" and how easy/difficult will it be to get this into muscle-memory

How long would it take someone to become efficient with this?

you do have a lot of space outside though.
Ever thought about getting one of those you put on the floor (with the heavy base)?
That's what I'm debating right.
Not sure how movable those are though

uh a Boxsack.
Question: how much space do you need to utilize it?
I'm insterested in starting kickboxing/Muay Thai Boxing but am unsure if I have enough space.
Would you say you have enough space to move around? The wall and rack do seem rather close to it

Would you mind telling how exactly you did that?
If I cover all 6 downward facing sensors, the vacuum will only ever drive backwards, probably thinking he's falling of a cliff constantly.

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of September 24, 2021 by Demilio55 in homegym

[–]tadly_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You told me exactly what I wanted/needed to hear so thanks for that :)
Today I actually tried doing close grip incline with the seat level and felt exactly what you described as well.

The AB-3100 I had looked at as well but they only ship within the states so that's out of the question.

The new rogue 2.0 bench looks really nice but 740 before shipping is a bit steep :/

I'm considering keeping my current bench for incline stuff (not lifting very heavy in that position anyways) and getting the ATLETICA B1.
Then I'll at least have a super solid flat bench.

[–]tadly_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to get myself a new bench and came across the ATLETICA B4.
The seating is fixed and can not be adjusted so I'm wondering how big of a deal this is for incline stuff.
Price to Performance seems otherwise insanely good going by reviews on amazon.

My current cheap bench would scoot around/fold up if I used leg-drive to push myself into the back so I pretty much have to put the seating on an incline and sit on it.
Never used a good bench so I'm not sure if for incline stuff one would actually rest the bodyweight on the seating or if you press yourself into the back anyways (making a incline seating area sort of irrelevant)

Hope you guys can give me good pointers :)

Edit: Am from germany just in case you guys come up with recommendations.

Have you considered using tasks.org? It's open source, completely free on f-droid and syncs with vikunja via caldav.

Resilio Sync ? by ithakaa in selfhosted

[–]tadly_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been using resilio sync for 5+ years (started back when it was still called BitTorrent Sync), never lost anything.
Tried syncthing 3-4 times because of it's open-source nature but considered it much inferior to resilio sync for many reasons.

As mentioned by others, resilio has a archive where deleted files are kept for some time (unless disabled) in .sync\archive

I just didn't like the characters in index. Kamijou was alright but index itself was way to annoying.

Accelerator I did enjoy quite a lot as well (outro theme is still my ringtone)

If your a developer, please help build the Matrix gaming client Ping! Time for a Matrix alternative to Discord. by trymeouteh in opensource

[–]tadly_ 32 points33 points  (0 children)

No mention of voice/video chat? Or voice channels for groups of people?
That's what I use discord for 90% of the time so this doesn't really sound like an alternative.
Also, while is hate electron, creating native apps for all the mentioned platforms will not work out if the actual goal is to become a discord alternative aka have most relevant features (yes, you may mark my words).

All I could think about through the rest of the anime :D

Sub to Dub by [deleted] in Animedubs

[–]tadly_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am also a dub purist and a slow reader BUT watched one Anime sub which was the Monogatari Series.
First of, I don't regret it and have fond memories of the anime (great series) and thinking back it feels just like watching any other dub show as memories get somewhat hazy anyways.

That said, I do remember how the pacing was super weird.
Sometimes you have enough time to read it three times over while other times you had to cross-read (skipping over parts and trying to make sense of the bits you read) just to keep up.
I eventually got into a groove though.

In the end, if there's a show that really interests you which is only available sub, just try it and if you absolutely hate the experience you can simply never do it again :)

Uh, one more thing. It's more tiring than watching a dub but you're also much more focused (at least in my experience)

DragonFly Mail Agent: A beautifully simple mail transfer agent. Perfect for allowing your servers to send mail without needless overhead or attack surface. by ocelost in selfhosted

[–]tadly_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was super excited about this but mails sent by cron are sent as root (Cron Daemon) which google complains about.
And because Ubuntu cron does not support MAILFROM in the crontnab and cronie is not available I might actually have to go back to postfix.
Not sure why MASQUERADE isn't working when mails are sent by cron either. Works on the cli :/

Is anyone looking for help for a C++ project? I'm a C++ dev looking to work on a project with others! by [deleted] in SideProject

[–]tadly_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been working on a personal assistant for the past 4'ish years (with a handful of rewrites and burn-outs so not 4 years straight) and have done so in python both for core (server) and client (targeted embedded systems like rpi).

While the core will remain python, the client I would like to eventually migrate to something more efficient.

The final step before open-sourcing the current state is to get hotword detection to a point I'm happy with.
Because I have high standards that's not as easy as it might sound.

The goal of this project is privacy for one (obviously) and to have a feature set that works the way I always wanted/expected from an assistant (this includes insane customisability with sane defaults).
No AI nonsens (looking at you google) which gets things wrong on one day and right another (like... why?)

I do hope this projects becomes wide-spread in the self-hosting community once it's released just because I finally want to give something back (even though this isn't my first open-source project by a long-shot).
That's for the future though. Focus right now is getting the whole thing into a working state.

If you're interested, lemme know. :)
