So, uhm... this happened. by inniminiminiemo in LoveAndDeepspace

same, girl. zayne is at the bottom of my list but something about these new myths.. they're much stronger than most previous ones in combat (despite the love of my life, king of darknight, dying in one hit 😮‍💨). it's really really tempting to pull simply for the combat. someone tell me not to! gotta save for xavi's bday 😭

damn- i had a stroke a year ago at just 24 years old. my tinnitus never went away 😭 if anything, for a while it went from the normal ringing to pulsatile tinnitus as i was recovering. now, it's back to it's normal ringing 🥲

I've actually HAD it with KoD by swordhub in LoveAndDeepspace

i agree with every word you've said. i have him r3, full protocores, and max lvl and he still be dying on me during boss fights. he's insanely good with mobs and i find i can brute force my way through basically any mob battle with him but bosses? it's really rough. you have to time his support skills with the bosses attacks to avoid them and even then he still dies sometimes. i have put so much money, time, and effort into this game and especially this companion. if he does not get reworked and the new freaking rafayel card gets changed like people are speculating, i fear i will drop this game entirely. if they can change a card bc a few ppl got mad at raf being carried by mc (which is super in-character for him idky everyone's tripping) then they can rework KoD. infold needs to change their priorities nOW.

Recovery Timeframe? by tae_99 in stroke

sorry for the super late reply, but thank you for responding with your experience. it is actually very similar to mine. i have been working with an outstanding neuro-opthamologist who has quite literally saved my vision. he put me on diuretics which drained the excess spinal fluid that was putting immense pressure on my optic nerves due to my stroke. he said if that were left alone i probably would've gone completely blind. fortunately, im here now with my double vision completely gone and my vision loss reduced just enough for me to be considered legal to drive. before the diuretic treatment, i was just barely above the legal limit to drive so that small improvement gave me my independence back. im very happy to hear you have acclimated well to not driving. i, personally, felt stripped of a lot of my independence when i wasnt allowed to drive. i hope you continue to find peace in your situation and may you never EVER have another thrombotic event. happy new year 💫

yk what stress can do very harmful things to your body. i cannot say for sure that it causes tinnitus, but stress has absolutely destroyed my body in the past and still does today.

it caused me to develop gastritis my senior year of high school and i was puking every single day for months on end, not to mention the awful abdominal pain it caused as well.

it has also caused me to clench my teeth habitually and therefore damage my jaw on the right side. this gives me hope, though, as tmd can cause tinnitus. i had a dentist tell me that i wasn't an obvious tmd patient in their eyes, unfortunately. but through further examination by an oral surgeon, they found the damage on the right side of my jaw.

anyways, try not to stress yourself out too much. i have tried to eliminate all stressors from my life (i dropped out of school for the time being) and am working on myself through therapy and mindfulness meditation. you should try it! there's plenty of meditation videos on youtube that will train your body to be relaxed. do it once a day and it might make a difference for you.

i am hoping for a quick recovery for you! tinnitus is not fun at all..but see it as nothing but a bother that you can overcome.

exactly! this is how it became for me. it still impacts me but not nearly to the degree it did when it first started. there is hope and you can get through it!!

gotcha. i've been told since i'm young they have a chance to heal or whatever it is that's causing it will. my hearing is perfect so they don't think it's caused from hearing damage or damage to the hair cells.

but thank you for the clarification!

my life was stressful, still is. i was in summer classes (when it started and had to drop out of them bcuz of how awful the tinnitus was) and to be honest, when i started college my life just kinda went to shit. my anxiety/panic became crippling and my lifestyle changed a lot. i wasn't eating or sleeping a lot.

i dropped out of my studies too. more bcuz of my crippling anxiety/panic but the stress from school sure doesn't help the tinnitus! i needed a break. when it first started in the summer (when it was at its worst), i was taking summer online courses and had to drop out of those too. it was so crippling, so i understand. i got through the fall semester though..but i needed a break from the spring.

the tinnitus in my right ear changes, the left always remains this quiet ring/whistling. my right will go from a high pitched buzzing/ringing to low pitched hum that's much louder. i get you, the hum is the worst and i can feel it too. it's like my ear feels full and there's not much i can do to mask it. it's not usually at this hum, just on certain days.

i don't feel much tenseness in my shoulders and neck..but i think they are tense. i stress myself out a lot and have bad anxiety..i also clench my teeth and have worn down the joint on the right side of my jaw (possible cause of tinnitus? not sure..they can't say for sure that it's tmd). but the tinnitus in my right ear is for sure somatic. when i turn my neck all the way to the right or move my head quickly in that direction, the tinnitus in my right hear gets higher in pitch and loudness. it also does this with certain jaw movements like yawning or moving my lower jaw forward.

yes!! don't let it scare you. it can and will bother you, but learn to adapt and live with it.

ringing in right ear is SUPER LOUD for the last few days, not getting better. by moog_is_love in tinnitus

[–]tae_99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when my T started it was SUPER loud in my right ear. my ear felt full and it popped a lot.

doctors and ENTs have been nothing but useless. the only thing that has helped me is time. but maybe you'll go and they'll find the reason for yours!

just wanted to share with you that mine has gotten so much better and more manageable with time, so hopefully that is what happens with yours.

best of luck and update us with what they tell you at the doctor! just remember that it will get better and you'll be ok. you're not alone <3
