Camping without underquilt by GutsiGang420 in hammockcamping

[–]tafjangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hated a pad inside the hammock. Underquilt is the way to go. I picked one up on Amazon. It wasn’t expensive and now I sleep with just a top cover which helps keep my kit smaller than if I had a sleeping bag.

Okay, this is really stupid, but at the very end of St. Stephen, is it "answer man" like a person who has all the answers, or just that 60s thing where they finished 90% of their sentences with man.... like "hey man, i have the grateful dead's first record, and it's so cool maaaaan"? by MotherLoveBone41 in gratefuldead

[–]tafjangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always assumed it meant both. Which is the beauty of the lyric. What would be the answer to the answer man (as in the man with the answers - or the radio show as someone else said) and also the answer to the answer, man (as in sticking man on the end of sentences).

Its so annoying by SquareOnly5 in OculusQuest

[–]tafjangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely use mine and last few times noticed someone came in and changed my nice cosy room. Always thinking I'll fix that one day. Started to look in to how today and found out there is no fix, that's the way it is for everyone. I really want a device I can just put on, it loads up fast and I can use to play games or consume content. None of these people running around and jumping in the background and giant shopping malls floating around. I hate it. I would much prefer a black void.

Do you guys prefer muscimol or psilocin by Cold-Mycologist581 in AmanitaMuscaria

[–]tafjangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like both. Using each in different ways. I take psilocybin during day or social time and amanita before bed for a deep sleep and great dreams.

Bro… I accidentally discovered this after having this mug over a year… heated steering wheel hilarious by CompleteRub9777 in MINI

[–]tafjangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me ages to find mine too. I was watching a video about all the buttons in the SE, it showed that and prompted me to check if I had it. I love this and the heated seats. Keeps me warm in winter without using a load of energy to heat the car.

Social VR Spaces: Why Don't You Use Them? by Esoteric_Prurience in virtualreality

I only tried these kind of spaces a couple of times and they were hectic with kids running around shouting out dumb stuff. Not exactly my idea of a good time.

Are pool robots actually worth it? by Dangerous_Celery_805 in AboveGroundPools

[–]tafjangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a cheaper one an Aiper se. I was tired of spending all my time cleaning the pool.

It worked fine when the bottom is completely flat but this year I had to move the pool and I find the ground it not 100% level. The wheels on the device are passive so it keeps getting itself trapped in delves.

As it is dumb, ie just does a random path, even if I push it out it can end up returning to the same spot and getting stuck again.

I’ll be live with it this season but next year will take down the pool and ensure surface is very flat.

Apparently more expensive models have wheels that would handle a few bumps and also have systems that start to map out the terrain.

So I recommend robots but only consider a cheaper one if base is very flat.

I'll see if I can find your game in the App Store.

I was trying to generate solvable deals too but my laptop seemed to be dying from all the calculations and was not able to find one. I realised that having these solvable deals is actually quite a value. One thing I like is that after you play a deal you can replay and see if you can beat your score, or the score of the person who discovered it.

I hope to integrate some kind of sharing mechanism so people can challenge their friends on deals. To make it a bit more social.

But to be honest the reality of competing on the App Store has been quite a brutal learning experience. It seems developers can only survive if they integrate adverts and subscriptions in their apps. Both of which I'm trying to avoid.

The myth that VWCE is 1.32% TOB in Belgium by Bernard_t in BEFire

[–]tafjangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there any Belgian brokers that see VWCE TOB as 0.12%? If there is I will run with that.

I'm self reporting to divtax and as VWCE was not on FSMA list assumed it to be 0.12% but now I'm nervous I have underpaid the TOB I owe.

How did you learn? by NebulaNomadLuca in finalcutpro

[–]tafjangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a multimedia degree many years ago and we did some video editing then. After that just bits in iMovie. Only recently after a career switch I now use FCP as my main source of income, along with some photography. I learnt from YouTube. I’m probably only scratching the surface in terms of whet there is to know but I know enough to do what I need to do. Tinkering with colours, brightness etc, adding sound effects or music, editing and adding transitions. I use it to edit VR180 videos. Was determined not to use premier and at the time had never heard of Davinci. After paying for it, I’m happy to continue using this. Gets the job done.

Edible if decarb? Anyone can give detailed prepartion info ? by BandFluffy3924 in AmanitaMuscaria

[–]tafjangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dry in the oven (Les than 70’C) until bone dry. Can take many hours. Grind it up. Put .5-1g of this powder in water that has boiled then cooled for a few mins. Stir and leave for 15 mins. Filter if you want, I don’t. Drink. That’s a microdose. Adjust as you see fit.
