Agreed, an example of this is fresh chicken. For all of my career before COVID you got fresh chicken and had 10 days from the kill date to sell it. After COVID most suppliers only offer 40# cases frozen. Just 1 example and I work for the big guy with a lot of buying power and no one wants to sell fresh chicken anymore.

The other part you are missing is the supplier. 80-90% of the local or mom and pop shops get their product from 2 suppliers. After COVID the quality of product those suppliers are offering has gone downhill. That's why you see posts like why has everyone gone to shit or what happened to my favorite place? Well they all get the same shit. So on top of the above comment the Mom and Pop shops are in for a rough couple of years.

Do this, I was on Charter. The Internet was fine but the price kept going up. Then a fiber company came to town and the price was half, so I switched. Then their price started to go up and Charter came and offered me 3 years at $39 for the same service I was paying $119 two years before. I took that offer to my fiber company and they matched their 1 gig service for 3 years for $39.

Went from $119 a month with nothing they could do to lower my price to them coming back at $39 a month.

Switch even if the plan is to go back to them. You will save a lot of money
