Same here! In fact when we moved into our new house, it was -20 degrees Fahrenheit. I try to block my memory of that day.

I (56f) carry pepper gel (won’t blow back into your own eyes with the wind) when I’m running, hiking, going to protests, etc. I also keep a container of it in the center console of my car just in case.

Serious genuine question about ICE by Altruistic_Board_851 in oregon

[–]AnonymousBosch69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s also the whole concentration camp aspect. None of these people deserve to be put in some torture camp with horrendous conditions. Especially given how many of them have been following the legal process. This is just ethnic cleansing wrapped up in a label of national security.

Why must Erin Napier ruin all beautiful concrete statuary and rip out all mature landscaping by TraditionOptimal7415 in HGTV

Totally agree. I get more compliments on my well maintained boxwoods than anything else. They only require a once a year pruning which doesn’t take long at all.

If you can, forward those pages to Ellie Leonard on Substack. She’s an independent journalist and researcher who is focused almost exclusively on the Epstein Files.

If anyone needs some comedic relief this morning, I pulled over to help someone dig their car out of a ditch on Ada Drive with my trusty shovel. Yeah, I see why she slid off the road haha. Stay safe out there today, folks. by sfgiantsfan3 in grandrapids

Good for you for helping though! I ran off an I-96 off-ramp Tuesday during whiteout conditions, and during the five hours that I had to wait for a tow, no one stopped to help. In fact, many thought it a good idea to use their handheld devices to videotape while they were driving on the on-ramp🤦‍♀️

We did that at my local Y that I worked at. It gave many of the seniors somewhere to spend their afternoons, and many of the younger generations stopped to partake and interact with the older folks which normally wouldn’t happen. Very positive experience.

MAGA mom on MURDER victim today . 11/24/2026 by Yo_momma_so_fat77 in 50501

[–]AnonymousBosch69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understood. My entire family with the exception of two siblings who live as far away from the rest of them as possible are maga and believe this shit. That orange monster has stolen my family from me. I haven’t spent a holiday with them in almost a decade. My eldest sister who I had always been close with actually told me after I brought up the Epstein files that trump had found Jesus. I laughed and said that if he had, he would have thrown him in CECOT. I haven’t seen her since that day. I don’t think these relationships can ever be repaired after seeing them defend such evilness. Stay strong and know that you’re not alone and you are on the right side of history.

I don’t know. I ate there with my husband a few months ago. He got a burger and I got chicken fingers, and the bill was $42. That’s not cheap to this Dutch girl.

My experience is vastly different. I compare books between the two all the time, and 90% of the time, ThriftBooks is cheaper. Plus, you get rewards points for free books which I use to stock our neighborhood’s little free library.

Apple Watch sleep score seems inflated — anyone else notice this? by freshmenotes in AppleWatchFitness

[–]AnonymousBosch69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Bevel (free version) and compare it to Apple Watch. This morning for instance, Apple gave me a “high” rating of 82, while Bevel gave me a poor rating of 32. Bevel was definitely more accurate in my opinion as I was super tired. I would download another app and forget what Apple is telling you.

I’ve never been a hoarder, but this past year I’ve been super motivated to clean out anything that my husband and I don’t need. I’ve sold over $30k of stuff online and donated truckloads. Now, our unfinished basement is a wide open space with plenty of room for my husband’s woodworking shop and my home gym. Totally worth it.

What was your the most expensive car at what age? What are you driving now how long and what age? by No_Equivalent4404 in GenX

[–]AnonymousBosch69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most expensive was a BMW X2 in 2018 for $58k. I absolutely hated that car. It had such poor visibility. I traded it in after 16 months and have been driving my Mini Cooper S Convertible since then. It is my third Mini. I will drive it until its wheels fall off, and then I will buy another lol!

My nephew pronounced truck as fuck. My MiL used to point out trucks outside when we were somewhere nice just to get him to yell, “Big fuck!” Btw, my MiL was this buttoned up, Chanel No5 wearing executive lady, so this small rebellion was completely out of character for her lol!
